Good day to all of us here. It has been a while since my last post here in our blogging platform, steemit. I assume you already heard what happened to the Philippines due to the wrath of typhoon Odette. Our rented apartment has incurred very minimal damages though. Thanks God! But looking to the situation of neighborhood's houses, really alarming. Others even lost their houses. Bleeding hurt!

I am currently residing in Mactan, LapuLapu where there were no electricity and no internet signal to our area. Most importantly, no enough drinking water. I still remember it - 2 days after Odette landed to LapuLapu and after we fixed some roofs for shelter, we searched and looked for an available drinking water. The long queue of people trying to get available drinking water from the refilling station is really scary for you to witness. It was on my 3rd day lining up to get 2 gallons of water, from 2AM to 9PM, before I was provided with that very pricely water. But I got nothing to excuse, instead just buy it. The heat of sun was really burning but it got nothing to our needs. I have my family to secured, especially that I have a kid.

  • we lined up with our gallons hoping to get drinking water at that very same day.

In addition, I have to fetch water from a distant well for other use like bathing, cooking, restroom, etc everyday. Again, I have to deal with the heat of the sun daily.

My family and our neighbors were trying to find ways everyday of what we can take for a meal, just to think that we do not know when will we can have enough access to food or when will essential help arrive.

  • eletrical posts fell down to streets

Though future is not that bright of what is coming and will it be, one thing I am sure. I will be fighting for my family as long as I still have breathe to live. I will always be there for my family. Never lose hope. Good thing comes to those who word hard for it.

Ora et labora!

That would be all for now my good friends. See you around to our journey of life, and to the next time that have access to an internet signal again. Stay safe and stay hydrated.
