Another feeding activity to the kids. | One of the Filipino culture highlights is being generous despite of having less in life.

As I know about Filipino culture they are very hospitable, caring and generous. They are happy people. Even amidst trials they stand strong, striving, and never give up their sweet smiles. They are very generous to the extent that they share what small things they have to others. These are the things I have learned from my wife and family.

Just recently we had another feeding activity to the kids in our neighborhood. They are one of our main concerns especially the kids as we love to share blessings to them. From my previous posts I have shared that they belong to less fortunate or low paying jobs parents and others in a family with lots of children.

My family and I decided to share another food packages to them since me, my wife @georgie84 and sister @sweetspicy got payout recently from steemit.

We had fried chicken, spaghetti and rice in the pack lunch and packed juice for the drinks.

We are able to prepare 60 food packs for the children including young adults. We feel sorry for the parents that they were not able to get we thought that there will be extra for them. Kids from other community came by to enjoy the food we prepared. Hopefully soon this month again we will prepare again for everyone includes the adults.

Preparation

@sweetspicy got busy preparing the spaghetti and rice while me and my wife @georgie84 prepared the fried chicken we ordered from a chicken stand. It's easier to have it this way because we can't cook a lot of foods because we have our baby steemian Eva that needs our care as well.

Supporting small business like this chicken stand will help them as well.

Packing
Packing food for the kids is something exciting and fun to do because that is something that we could bond as well as a family. We have our uncle, sisters, brother and Mama who was happy helping us.

We made sure that everyone packing the food is wearing face mask to insure safety and protection for the recipients especially they are children.

We also had plastic gloves for hands and tongs to pickup food to the lunch box. The chicken was freshly cooked as well as the rice and spaghetti.

Distribution
During the distribution, everyone was instructed to wear face mask and a family member was the one who keeps the kids in social distancing but kids are kids, they are just excited.

They were in line and trying to follow social distancing. A lot of children were accompanied by their guardians to make sure that they can carry their foods carefully.

Thanks to everyone in the family for the continuous support and love for the people by giving extra care for them during this time of pandemic. I have learned so much from time to time that we lend help and joy to the people that needs care especially the children. Their happiness is my happiness and that keeps me and my family to constantly give them joy in little ways we know.
