Steemit Philippines Photography Contest Week #5 - Filipino Food Photography: Lechon Belly

Greetings to all steemians

One of our favorite filipino food is pork lechon. Now a days lechon belly becomes more famous because it's accessible and more affordable for the family. Lechon is the highlight of every table during special occasions like fiesta, birthday and among others.

We put this on our table to share for our family and to our visitors. This food is so delicious that whenever there is an occasion we look for this food. We love it because it is very delicious especially when crispy.

This photo was taken during the birthday of my mother. The preparation for her birthday was so simple we prepared only 3 menu and we add this lechon belly.

The lechon belly is a pig belly roasted in charcoal or oven. It has many different spices inside of it that makes this food taste good. I am not an expert on how to prepare and cook lechon but I think they marinate it with lots of salt and spices. Oh, I love the spices of lechon when it's cooked.

But we should be careful when eating too much of it especially when you have a high blood pressure because it will keep your BP so high. Make sure to take BP meds if you are having maintenance.

We usually buy delicious lechon belly at chicky oink store located at Basak Lapu-Lapu branch. They have options of how many kilos you are going to buy. There is 1 kilo, 2 kilos, 3 kilos. It's a size that fits your needs.

They also have another branch I know located at Tamiya next to Jollibee across city times square.

As you can see in the photo above with my mama, she's happy aside from the surprised, lechon is also her favorite. Hopefully pandemic will end so soon so for the coming fiesta on November, we will get invites and we will also invite friends and family for the celebration.
