"Steemit Philippines Photography Contest Week #5 - Filipino Food Photography : " SINUGBANG BANGUS"

One of the most important symbol of the Philippines is our National Fish, This fish is known to have the most number of bones compare to other kinds of fish. What are the characteristics of this fish that made it special compare to others?

Now, allow me to explain my observations towards this fish or my meal tonight.

There are different reasons why this fish is titled as our national fish. First reason is the fish ability to survive in the most undesirable place for them to breed. Since Bangus can grow up to 1.8 meters, it is necessary for them to have a bigger pond but with their ability to survive in this area, the population of Bangus is never in danger or we can find them all over the Philippines. We can compare this ability to filipinos attitude towards undesirable events in out lives, we adjust on our sorroundings and learn to become part of the community and grow together.

Another reason why bangus is prominent in the Philippines, is that, it is practical, you can buy a kilo of it in the most affordable price as possible as it is, you can prepare different dishes out of it such as, Grilled, Sour soup, fried, soup and even marinated one. It maybe common in the market but it is the most important dish when going to beaches.

I am Niel, and happy to tell you that tonight, my vian is Sinigbang Bangus, reminder, be careful, it has more than a hundred of bones hidden under the flesh. By the way I used coconit shell as my coil to cook them.
