Feelings of first time travel in Metrorail.(18-12-2024)

Greetings and love to all Steemian friends. I hope everyone is well, and Alhamdulillah, I am fine too. Today I will share with you the feelings and experience of traveling in Metrorail for the first time. Hope you like it.

Metrorail plays a unique role in decongesting public transport in urban areas. As it is a high-speed train, many passengers can travel in a very short time. We went to Agargaon in Dhaka for urgent work. We will go to Shahbagh the night before. Then we decided to take the Metrorail today. So we went to Agargaon Metro Rail Station. The station was a multi-storied building, so we took the elevator to the second floor.

We went to the second floor and were surprised, as many passengers were standing in front of the counter to buy tickets. One of the reasons is that Dhaka city is a congested area, where you can never arrive at a certain time for sure. So people can reach their destination on time by Metrorail, thereby saving them valuable time. So we stood in line to buy tickets without delay.

We do not have to stand in line for a long time to buy tickets, one of the reasons is that tickets are bought in Metro by vending ticketing machines. There are multiple vending machines to purchase tickets. One of the contributions of the digital age is that it takes less time despite more people. Slowly we moved forward in line to the counter, where we purchased our tickets manually through the bending machine. You can buy tickets for any station as per your wish through hand cash. After all the processing, I got my ticket in just 30 seconds.

The ticket counter is on the second floor of the station, the train is on the third floor of the station. So punched our tickets and took the elevator to the third floor. The aesthetic design of the station impressed me. I was accompanied by two other cousins, we looked around the beautiful metro station. Every three to four minutes, a Metrorail is coming and going. As a result, many passengers can travel easily every day. No sooner had we reached the platform than a metro rail entered the station, and as the passengers alighted, we boarded the metro rail.

After we entered the metro, we saw that no set was empty because the metro rail had more people travelling than it needed. We stood inside holding the handle of the train. The atmosphere inside the metro was very beautiful and grand. In no time the train was on its way to its next destination. Each station is announced before arrival, thereby facilitating passengers to alight. However, in just 7 minutes, I reached Agargaon to Shahbagh, where it took a minimum of 40 minutes by bus or other transport.

Metro Rail is one of the inventions of the modern age. As a result, people can travel in less time. I enjoyed my first metro journey today. It seems to me that if some more lines of metro rail are built, most of the jams in Dhaka city will be reduced. We can increase progress on the other hand.
