I hope every one of you is fine and enjoying a good time with your family. Now, it is monsoon time, and the weather in Jashore is partly sunny and partly cloudy, raining is continuous and so beautiful. This continuous and soothing rain has made the environment rather magical. Last Friday I had the opportunity to spend a very nice rainy day with my spouse and baby enjoyed good customary food and took a nice trip to Binodia Family Park.

The day started with the light rain knocking on the balcony pane which is generally considered to be calming. While seated on my balcony finally, I could only enjoy the moment with a cup of tea which was best for a rainy day like this. Since it was a Friday, my husband was at home and he came up with a surprise having breakfast. He made delicious beef pasta, which was extremely tasty.

I was also planning to prepare khichuri for lunch which I abandoned in favor of chicken biryani because I prepared khichuri the previous day. And as I enjoyed my breakfast and feeding my baby, I got busy in the kitchen preparing this special rainy-day meal. When the biryani was ready I continued with my normal chores, and prayer, before joining the table and having the meal. And the chicken biriyani was mouthwatering we enjoyed our family lunch together.

As for me, Jashore is a new place and I am looking forward to unveiling many locations. Thus, by mid of the day, the rain also stopped and my husband offered to take an auto-rickshaw tour around the village. A few of us with such energy arrange ourselves and set off. The village road was a captivating spectacle, adorned with abundant verdure extending as far as the gaze could see. The picturesque landscape delighted our infant, who couldn't contain his laughter.

While we were on our auto-rickshaw, my husband inquired about tourist destinations to the driver. He suggested the Binodia Family Park, we thought it might be a good idea to go there. Ticket prices are very affordable, we each paid only 25 BDT which is probably because we are defense personnel, after paying we had access to the park. The park was teeming with families, similar to ours, enjoying their day of leisure.

The park had different kinds of rides for children on one side and there was a tiny zoo on the other side. Our son was thrilled and keenly pointing at different animals and asking questions. This we used in moving around, taking various shots, and reveling in the cheerful environment.

Following our visit to the park, we retraced our route and returned to the city. Unexpectedly, I had a craving for sugary treats, prompting us to visit Jalojog Misty Bhandar - a long-standing establishment renowned for selling a variety of sweets in Jashore. My spouse is not really inclined to sweet items though I had bought ‘sandesh sweet’ and ‘chanaar polao’ and I brought home ‘Rosh malai.’ But they were too sweet for my taste, their confections were all cloying.

To balance this sweetness, I shortly came up with an even bigger desire for anything that is spicy or tangy. We came across an unplanned chotpoti shop and enjoyed the spicy chotpoti and fuchka and it was tasty. Finally, as content and joyful we got back to our home.

This rainy day was really fun filled with tasty foods for families and also took a fun time to discover a new place. Jashore, with its captivating aesthetics and hospitable ambiance, has already started to evoke a sense of familiarity.
