Hello friends, How are you? Hope you all are doing well. I am also fine by the grace of almighty Allah, Alhamdulillah. I feel very happy to express my thoughts basically paintings infront of you. Today I'm trying to drow a colorful butterfly which is the symbol of freedom. Butterfly can represent the ideas like transformation, rebirth and hope as well. I've completed this painting through some steps. I'm trying to explain the process with photo. Let get started.

Painting materials
  1. Art paper (Acrylic color paper)
  2. Acrylic colors
  3. Paint brush
  4. Wood Pencil and
  5. Water
Step 1

First I drew the body of the butterfly with wood pencil. While drawing the body, its size should be kept in consideration. The size should neither be too big nor too small. All things considered, I took the body of the butterfly. There is the drawing part I've already done.

Step 2

After drawing the body, it is time to draw the wings of the butterfly. First I drew a back wing. Then I drew the front two wings. I have made the size of the wings average so that the butterfly looks beautiful. And I can highlight the painting with colors. After finishing the outer work of the wing, I gave the design inside the wing. The inside part is too critical. So, this part you have to draw carefully. In this step I finish the drawing using pencil. Here you can see a complete butterfly by pencil without color.

Step 3

At this stage I start to color. I have used acrylic color and only three colors such as Brown, black and white.
First I took the border of the wings with black color. I have almost finished the use of black color. Here I have used size zero brush to mark the dark parts.
Here I worth mentioning the steps.

Step 4

After finishing the work of black color, I used brown color in the empty part.
As you can see, how beautiful the brown and black color mixer looks. In this step the brown and black colors are completely finished. At this part I have completed almost two-thirds of my colorful painting.

Final Step

Finally, I added small white points all over the black part, which enhanced the beauty of the butterfly and fulfil the drawing. Literally it also the part of a butterfly. There is no burnish on my stock so it couldn't possible to used it. The proper use of burnish can make sustainable and good looking to any type of painting.

I always enjoy to do painting or any type of new experiment. Experiment using colors makes me so happy. I like to express my expression by painting. Keep me in your prayers.

Stay safe and healthy. Thank you.
