STEEMIT security is the process involved in making resilience against possible hack caused by others.
It is also the safety means, measures to be taken into consideration to be protected or been safe from attack or lost of account.
In order to provide security on STEEMIT user need to keep their STEEMIT keys safe
What are Steemit keys

Steemit keys are the unique serial password key that allows a particular person or owner of an account
(Steemit user) carry out tasks or operation on his or her STEEMIT account.
The Steemit keys are like other personal one-time password which should never be shared with anyone.
If peraventure someone losses their unique keys the person has automatically lost access to his Steemit account.
Therefore it is advised you save your keys in a safe place either by printing it out as hard copy and also saving it in a drive so as to easily retrieve it when forgotten.

The below are the unique STEEMIT keys
1 Owner key
2 Master key
3 Active key
4 Posting key
5 Memo key

The owner key

This is the most powerful key. It can actually change any key of your accounts its main use is for the recovery of a compromised account.

The Master key

This serves as a drive to order keys in your account including the only key
its can be used in generating other keys.
It’s the master key when lost it results to permanently lost of account
Its provides access to be able to change Steemit keys to ordinary passwords.

The Active key

This is only used for funding and transferring funds, power up and power down transactions, steem converting to dollars, for withnesses voting, profile updating, details and placing market orders.

The Posting key

This key is unique and an outstanding key on it’s own.
Its is used for posting, editing, deleting muting and resteeming blogs only.

The memo key

This key is used for encrypting messages or viewing encrypted messages or memo during fund transfer.
To encrypt a memo use the (#) sign before the memo key.

All the above keys mentioned are all important, so its adviceable you store them safely in case of loss.
Never disclose your private keys to third party to access your account.

I have personally copied my private keys and stored them in a hardcopy and also saved them in my online drive as backup.
I have learnt how to carry out some actions with my steem wallet for example

In conclusion

With all the above gathered information and explanations.
It is very important we save our steemit private keys safely because once lost there will be no remedy to our steemit account meaning a permanent lost of account.
This is with regard as how the steemit platform are regid to the security of the system.
