By the way, if you click on it, it will lead you to the relationship article I wrote sometime ago on leading people on. You will love. But for this achievement, I am not just going to compose a text for composition sake, I am going to give you an inspiring little something for starting up. As always, all my articles are original and have not been posted anywhere else yet. I am all for Steem, building a great community. So here it goes.

CAREER TALK

4 Key Factors in Starting Up

When it comes to starting up a business or a career, especially business, there could be inhibitions or fears, and self doubts and fears (and fears!) that keep us from reaching out for our greatest potentials. No body wants to fail, nobody loves to fail. So we want to be sure, we try to sort everything out and cross our Is dot our Ts. And all these cause us to procrastinate and procrastinate until we find that we didn't start that business or vocation or trade we said we were going to start. And so our dreams die away and we live less than our potentials. So many ideas, so many innovations, so many unique things we have within us waiting to be expressed. So I present us with these four tips for starting up:

1. The What Factor:

This deals with question on what business to start, what career path to go, etc...the problem is that we are looking for what is profitable, what will still be relevant in the future among many others. That is what we did for choosing our course of study and many of us struggled to excel where others soared effortlessly. Don't be a square peg in a round hole. Find your own passion, your own thing, that thing with a touch of you. It doesn't have to be outside the box, it just has to be inside you. You may not see the prospect in it, but you will be amazed at what unfolds once you follow your passion.

2. Swallow Your Pride:

Some beginnings can be really really humble. An Igbo proverb says "if a proud man covers himself under a blanket, hunger will uncover it and drive him out of it." You may have to kiss some feets, wash some, and even massage some. You will be a green horn, etc. It may be the pay that will be too humble for you or the role you'll have to play. And you may even come to a place where you realize "I don't even need this. I am bigger than this." But the question will be, "do you WANT it?" Then swallow your pride and take it as it is. But then, maybe what is stopping you is not pride, well maybe its

3. Self Doubt/Fears/Lack of boldness:

It is normal. Everyone feels a little butterfly in their stomach when going about new businesses or projects. The key is to feel the fear and do it anyway. Don't fight the fear, feel it, embrace it, then go ahead and do it anyway. My uncle once said to me, "say the truth even if your voice shakes". In the same way, start your thing even if your heart falls out. And lastly is,

4. The People Factor:

Everyone needs somebody and God bless you you find people who don't have their own troubles already that are willing to gang up on your hustle. The truth is, you will not always find people who will step out of their schedule and step into your own to make your dream(s) come through. You must always be prepared and mind ready to do your thing even if you have to do it alone. Again, I say "Do your thing even if you will have to do it alone". Like alone. Because a lot of time you will not get all the support you imagined.

When I started my YouTube Channel last year, I remember sending links to friends, seniors, and juniors to encourage the ministry. All I got from all of them was 6 subscribers. I tell you, it was very discouraging and this is where many have stopped. But I continued. And in one year time I met all the YouTube requirements for 4k watch hours and 1k subs. Because I continued and didn't doubt myself.

It happens. Starting up is always going to meet different responses. The people you expect the most from may end up taking the little guts you have. It is not because they are mean, but everybody got a life. So like I said, you must be mind ready to

"DO YOUR THING, EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO DO IT ALONE!"

PARTING WORDS

I encourage you with these last words. When I started my YouTube channel, all I thought was that I will be uploading teaching videos and maybe one day I will be paid by YouTube from adsense, plus maybe become public figure. But I didn't see the other half of it. Recently I started getting email requests for private online classes with people from around the world, and many others have asked in the comment section of my videos for link to where I sell my full lesson series on Amazon or somewhere so they could buy. You know what this means? Now I am making arrangements for one on one coaching, as well as working on producing a collection for sell...these last two are where the main monies are, but they didn't come in sight from the beginning.

So don't be discouraged by the seeming low prospects and promises of your passion area. Don't think "is it even worth it?" Just start and the rest will shock you.
