ACHIEVEMENT 4 TASK BY @dilchamo: APPLYING MARKDOWNS

in Newcomers' Community4 years ago (edited)

Hello steemians,

Today I’m going to share a very important article with you. This is about applying markdowns.

So let’s get started with my ACHIEVEMENT 4: APPLYING MARKDOWNS

source

WHAT ARE MARKDOWNS?

To post quality and attractive posts in the platform we need to know how to write the posts in an attractive way. We have different options that we can apply in order to have a quality looking post by adding different formats. We can apply italic style, bold style, links, tables, font sizes, alignments etc... to our post. For that in the platform we have to use codes. These codes are similar to HTML codes that you may have learnt. You have to open a markdown and close it properly in order to get the desired output.

When you apply markdowns you will be able to create an attractive and a quality post. I have selected five of the markdowns and I will show you how to use them in your texts and how it looks like in your post as the output.

01) Text

Using the text justify markdown you can do number of modifications to your text. I will show you how to use text justify markdown.

< div class=”text-justify” > This is a sample text to show the way it justifies after using markdown feature and you also can try this with your posts. This is a sample text to show the way it justifies after using markdown feature and you also can try this with your posts. < /div >

The output will be as follows

02) Headlines

Headlines are important as we have to use headlines to show the importance of the text that we write and also it attracts the readers.

We have use # symbol at the beginning of the headline. The size of the headline decreases when the number of # symbols increase.

Have a look at the example below.

# This is a headline
## This is a headline
### This is a headline
#### This is a headline
##### This is a headline
###### This is a headline

The output will be as follows

This is a headline

This is a headline

This is a headline

This is a headline

This is a headline

03) Subscript/Superscript

You have to use and code to add subscript and superscript. Let’s have a look at an example.

Subscript

text or number

110102 is a binary number

This is how it displays:

110102 is a binary number

Superscript

text or number

Today is 19th of May

This is how it displays:

Today is 19th of May

04) Links

Adding links is the most common thing that we do when posting in the communities.
You can add a link by just coping in and pasting it in our article.

• You can hide the URL and inside a number, word or set of words. This is the way to do it.

• If you want to add someone’s username in your text you can use @ symbol.

05) Quotes

If you want to use a quotation from any source that someone had written or said you can use > symbol.

> “ The purpose of our lives is to be happy.” — Dalai Lama

So I think this small explanation will be enough for you to get a simple idea about APPLYING MARKDOWNS. Thank you for reading my post and I would like to thank @besticofinder, @sumit71428 and @cryptokannon for guiding and supporting me to success in the platform.
