ℹ️ Here, the world of STEEMIT provides content writing opportunities for anyone who decides to take advantage of blockchain technology to manage their blog posts. And that's why, the best if for the question of

🧠 „What is plagiarism”❓

, 🤔 we give the answer from the point of view of the relevance of ✍️ content writing❗
  • By the way, this line of thought is supported by @cryptokannon 's guide when she mentions the „Proof of Brain” concept, which ideas she borrowed from the 🔗steam-blue paper.pdf documentation.

    1. Therefore, any activity on this platform that generates income in STEEM cryptocurrency is nothing more than an intellectual contribution, so plagiarism should be avoided in every respect.

When you plagiarize, you are not only harming yourself, but also the whole community of the STEEMIT platform.

✔️ It damages the global perception of the platform and generate very bad SEO metric values,
✔️ so plagiarism may has a serious negative impact on our ecosystem.

👇 About the concept of plagiarism in general

The origin of the concept of plagiarism, I must note, is related to jurisprudence. Because we have been talking about this concept since the creation of copyright. Of course, this can be traced back to very old historical times.

The Interpretive Dictionary of the Hungarian Language gives us a very good answer to what plagiarism is in general, and I will quote from it below, but since it is by definition in Hungarian, I will also translate the quote into English.

A szerzői jog kialakulása óta más személy szellemi alkotásának eltulajdonítása, az általa megalkotott műnek v. részeinek felhasználása az eredetire v. a szerzőre való hivatkozás nélkül; szellemi lopás, tolvajlás.Source
So, according to the Interpretive Dictionary of the Hungarian Language:

Since the creation of copyright, the intellectual creation of another person, the work created by him / her or use of parts of the original or abuse without attribution; intellectual theft, theft.

The intellectual contribution, 💭 THOUGHT, is one of the most important, and this brings us back to „Proof of Brain”. Why❓ I explain this, through the 📜 history of Hungary ⬇️

ℹ️ When we talk about plagiarism, it is not always just the original copyright that is being violated.

Think of the different literary works where the given work is translated from one language to another.

In this case, the person of the translator is somewhat relegated to the background compared to the original author, but acts as a co-author on some level. In addition to keeping the essence of the original work, the translation enables the possibility of a freestyle translation that matches the particularities of the given language,

✅ where the translator's own creativity also unfolds❗

The first plagiarism trial in the history of Hungarian literature was the so-called „Ilias pör”.
🙏I sincerely hope, you know that the 📖 Iliad is the work of Homer and you have read it. I really liked when I read.

„Pör” is the old term in the Hungarian language for the word „per”, which means in English
      trial
. So, I would like grab every facts from the Hungarian history and tell you the details of „Ilias pör” ➡️ Illiad-trial, which will reflect to you, how is important the
      source designation
for the works of translators, too.

This story began with the fact that Ferenc Kazinczy (a famous Hungarian writer and poet) wanted someone to translate the Iliad into Hungarian. A teacher named Ferenc Vályi Nagy translated this work. Kazinczy also sent him some parts of Kölcsey Ferenc's translation of the Iliad, and he published the work compiled from them under his own name. Kölcsey was outraged by this, but Kazinczy did not understand why:

he believed that it did not matter who translated it: the author Homer.

      The-Trial-of-Iliad-Kazinczy-Kolcsey.jpg

Source of photos : here and here

During the trial, Ferenc Kölcsey was found to be right he won the trial at the court!

      „Iliasz-pör”
is an important milestone in the history of Hungarian literature from several points of view. On the one hand, because of the issue of copyright, which has not been raised as an ethical or legal issue until now. From then on, Kölcsey's situation can serve as a reference for the moral protection of authors and translators.

      On the subject of the
      concept of plagiarism
, when I highlighted the IMPORTANCE OF EVERY UNIQUE THOUGHTS (Proof of Brain) through the example of Hungarian history ⬆️ above and mentioned the situation of translators, Angéla Kapusi's 🔗„Vályi Nagy Ferenc és az Íliász-pör” work helped, that I could presented you all, my historical source research's result.

😕 What is plagiarism in ✍️ Content Writing❓

Actually, this part should be divided into three main parts. I don't make it a secret at all, of course I do agree with the proper views in the 🔗 „What is Plagiarism in Professional Content Writing & How to Avoid It?”. Therefore, in my further thoughts below, I will quote from this excellent article❗
    2. Plagiarism of Words
      1. „When you copy three or more consecutive “Content” words from another source it is called plagiarism. Function words such as and, is, are, of, etc. are not considered when you apply this rule.” Source
    3. Plagiarism of Sentence Structure
      1. When you write the same sentence but substitute a few words with their synonyms, it is called plagiarism.”Source
    4. Copying Phrases Verbatim without Quotation Marks
      1. „When you copy phrases or sentences, word by word but without quotation marks, then it will be considered as plagiarism even if you cite the sources.

You either need to put the copied content in quotation marks and given citation or paraphrase the sentence and write it without quotation and with sources. Only then it will be plagiarism-free.”Source

💡 Regarding the third point, I can say that the use of quotation marks is really very important, especially here in the arsenal of online publishing options:

Basically, the blockquote HTML command was originally designed for quote.

But... it is still important to use the quotation mark,
because, at least in my personal opinion, this blockquote is not necessarily used for the presentation of quotations when an article is published, rather has an aesthetic role. That is, we can highlight in our article what we consider essential. However, if we really use it for a quote that corresponds to its original purpose, then, in my opinion, the use of quotation marks is essential❗

🤔 How can we protect against plagiarism❓

Plagiarism is so widespread around the world that there are significant lawsuits on this topic, and software tools have even been created to detect and investigate plagiarism. This activity is called a plagiarism check. There are several software on the market for this purpose. The education system also uses the various software solutions worldwide with fairly good success, although I would like to note here that the basic global goal of the deep state is to dumb down, so the quality of education is also falling in many places.

Many such software already use also artificial intelligence modules, but I think the ✅
      curators
can provide much better ideas on this topic than I can. I'd be sad if it weren't so 😉

👇 About the harmful effects of self-plagiarism❗

I will touch on this part very briefly, but I would be happy if everyone took what was written to heart.

Although I've only been a member of the Steemit community since
      November 12, 2022
, and maybe it seems a little comical when someone so new wants to share their thoughts, as suggestion 😃

However, based on my observations, I can say that the self-plagiarism present on this platform has a harmful effect on our ecosystem.

      copy-paste.jpg

Self-plagiarism is when we transfer our own content word for word from somewhere else, on a copy-paste basis, to this platform and publish it as a post. Obviously, the crime of theft does not arise here, but at the same time it results in content duplication, which is again only a very negative SEO impact. For example, it results in the content on the Steemit platform being stored by the market-leading search engine much more difficult and less frequently (Google Cache)😢

A typical case of this phenomenon:
When the user publishes the same content on, say, the hive.blog platform and here on the Steemit interface. The result of this will be that the search engine will either not make a cache of any page at all, or it will make a cache of the page where the content appeared first chronologically.

✅ One of the two platforms will definitely suffer a negative impact❗

      Final thoughts :
      fighting against plagiarism is important
, although this phenomenon it accompany our all lives!

Through these lines, I would like to tell you about an interesting fact, and again give you add more information of myself, supplementing my introduction that you could already find out about me in the 🔗 Achievement 1 material.
Thanks to my social involvement, I am a regular „guest” of the Courts 😉Although I am not a lawyer, the law allows me in my homeland, for example, to represent union members at the Court in any of their court cases. My favorite area is personal rights, but I also learned a lot of knowledge in other legal branches in a self-taught way. I can state without arrogance that a lawyer has never won a lawsuit against me in a courtroom 😊

I wrote these few lines because there is a professional and at the same time, a legal version of plagiarism due to respect for personal rights. And I would like talk about it, as an interesting thing and at the same time I wanna prove, that there will always be creative people who commit plagiarism, but not always with good intentions.

      court.jpg

Of course, plagiarism is legal and lawful within the Courts, but what is it about, what do we mean by plagiarism here❓

The philosophies formulated through the judgments and their reasoning part are very useful for the entire judgmental culture. That is why there are various decision repositories that already introduce precedence into the legal system even in non-Anglo-Saxon countries and set an example for jurisprudence.

Judgments, on the other hand, can only be entered into any database anonymously, and the technical backgrounds of this is terrifyingly professional.

✅ The anonymized judgments not only encrypt the names of the litigants, the process of anonymization is much more complex than that, and the most professional tricks of plagiarism are used.

      - The use of synonyms,
      - location rewritings,
      - changing characters,
      - significant rewriting of the story's content, that may does not affect the essential element of the story, but make it completely unrecognizable and unpredictable.

Of course, this type of plagiarism here serves a noble purpose in the protection of personal rights, which all people are entitled to, on the base of human dignity.

💭 But let's think about how deep expertise is required for such professional plagiarism, and I said this because there are people have such expertise and creativity, so plagiarism will forever be a part of our lives. If plagiarism is done with malicious intent, and it is in unfortunately
      98%
of the cases, then we must do everything we can to fight it.

      Conclusion

✅ I have read and understood the
      Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community
and will do my best to embrace them.
