Hello fellow steemians!!! Thank you @cryptokannon for providing the guide on how to do achievement4 task. I must say that it was difficult for me to understand at first but as time went,I constantly went through the material provided,did my best to understand it and then I began to put my study into practice before I was able to understand it. I will be sharing an event that took place in my secondary will using some markdown styles given

THE ANNUAL INTERHOUSE SPORTS

The inter house sports of my school(Federal Science and Technical College,Yaba) is always organized yearly,during the first quarter of each year. It is usually the moment of four houses coming together to show their various athletic skills,at the end of it all,the athletes or the houses are awarded. List of houses that participates in the contest;

  • Benue house represented by the yellow color.
  • Niger house represented by the blue color.
  • Ogun house represented by the red color.
  • Niger house represented by the green color.
    This houses are named after some African states and countries,why it is done this way is what I do not know.

ACTIVITIES THAT TAKES PLACE THAT DAY

They are different sports activities that are usually held that day such as;match-past,javelin throwing,race,shot-put. These are the ones I remember,it's been a while since I graduated from secondary school. But I'll try to talk about the match-past.

THE MATCH-PAST

The match-past is usually coordinated by the the final year students,so my set(2016) started practicing for it from 2015. While we were still in SS2,we would go to the parade grounds in order to learn the commands,moves and everything related to the match-past from our seniors. Even when we didn't feel like it,our seniors always made sure we watches them so that during our own time,it wouldn't be difficult.
These match-past consists of the commander(s),matchers and royalties. The commander(s),as the case may be are usually the ones in charge of the parade,they give the commands,the matchers are the troops while the royalties comprises of a lot of people representing different things like culture,tribes and so on. I was part of the royalties,I represented the Eastern part of Nigeria (the Igbo tribe). Let me share my little experience.

MY EXPERIENCE ON THE INTERHOUSE SPORT EVENT

It was on a Saturday(it always falls on a Saturday),16th March,2016. I had called my mom earlier and told her about the event and my role in it. She agreed to it and told me that she'll bring my attire to the school since I was resident in the school. I couldn't have carried it earlier because the management will tag it contrabrand,so we didn't want to risk it.
On the day of the event,I called my mum very early in the morning and asked if she was coming and she told me yes. I waited and waited still no sign of her. I was getting worried and scared because my friends were banking on me not to disappoint because my role was one of the important roles that day. I called my mum and she said she was close by so I waited. Then she came,made me up and dressed me as well. Then all the matchers and royalties made their way to the field,here are some pictures taken on that day:
