Achievement 2 @killerheart task:basic security on steem
Hello everyone. Greetings to all of you. Today i am going to complete my achievement 2 task which is based on the basic security of steemit platform.
Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?
Ofcourse yes. That's the 1st and foremost thing to do after joining this platform.
Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
There are a few keys and each of them is different from one another.
Posting key- this key allows a user to login to steemit and perform social actions such as commenting, editing, posting, following, etc.
Memo key- this key is used to encrypt or decrypt private memos while transferring funds.
Active key- this key is used in wallet related transactions such as powering steem or transferring tokens or converting it.
Owner key- This is the most powerful key as it helps to reset all other keys and also helps in restoring steemit accounts.
Master key- this key helps in generating all other keys mentioned above.
How do you plan to keep your master password?
As you are aware it is master password, so it must be safe in every possible way. While i did a few things such as writing it down in a paper, a photocopy of the password taken as screenshot and also saving it in both online and offline drive.
Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Just click on your profile and go to wallet and there you will see a steem icon with drop down button. Simply click it to get the transfer button and type the receiver user account name and amount to get it done.
Do you know how to power up your steem?
Just go to wallet section on your profile and click the steem icon with drop down button to get the power up option. Click on it and type the amount of your choice to power up your steem.
