What is plagiarism?
Definition: Plagiarism is defined when you copy other content by giving him/her credit and without his/her permission is called plagiarism.

Explanation :
Let's understand plagiarism in more detail Let's assume some content is created with hard work day and night It could be videos, written blogs, research, art, graphic design, pictures or photographs, etc., which you include in your Owning your own content under the license of the creature is known as plagiarism. If some people want to use the created content, they must get permission from the creator of the content, or give credit to the owner of the content. This content may be any type of audio, video, text, images, etc.

Example:
Let us now understand plagiarism through an example. Let's say you're a blogger and you're working around the clock writing blogs . You get up early in the morning to write blogs ,then post on your platform and set up on your computer for hours to edit the blogs and upload it. But someone without your permission will copy your blogs and use it in their own content without giving you credit, so you will feel bad about it. But it's one thing to learn when someone uses your content with your permission or doesn't give you credit, it's called plagiarism. And it's not allowed on any online platform. The creator always has the right to act against him.

Type of plagiarism:
There are many types of plagiarism but I am explaining the 8 most common types here.

  1. Complete plagiarism.
  2. Source base plagiarism.
  3. Self plagiarism.
  4. Paraphrase plagiarism.
  5. Plagiarism of mosaics.
  6. Accidental plagiarism.
    7)Outright plagiarism.
  7. Incorrect authorship.

Let me explain all these items in detail in my own words. I try to explain in detail, I will also try to add more value and describe in a very easy way to understand each one easily.

  1. complete plagiarism:
when you copy another person's content and publish it under your name, this type of Plagiarism is called complete
    plagiarism.

  2. Source base plagiarism:
Source Base Plagiarism is defined as when you publish another person's content and give attribution but the attribution is incorrect.

  3. Self-plagiarism:
Leave below Self Plagiarism with an example let's say you write your own daily routine diary but post it in more than one community this type of plagiarism is called Self Plagiarism because you reuse your content.

  4. Paraphrase Plagiarism:
is defined as when you copy someone else's content and thus some changes. it means copying someone else's idea and modifying it for oneself.

  5. Mosaic Plagiarism:
It means you are using some other content in your own content, I mean mixing the content.

  6. Accidental plagiarism:
means you write your own content but accidentally use a paragraph that is already being used somewhere.

  7. Outright Plagiarism:
This type of plagiarism is also known as copy plagiarism. just copy some other content without any changes.

  8. incorrect authorship:
This type of plagiarism occurs when you mislead Author about your content.

My own suggestion to avoid plagiarism:
when you create your content but you get some help from online research so you should check your content with plagiarism tool it will help you to find the history of the writing in your content.
Many online tools are available to check for plagiarism. always give a source to your content, let's say you copied the image from google, so give the link of the source image, for example, you will find it in the picture above that I took from google but I gave the source. But remember one thing, let's say you copied the text from Wikipedia and stated that the source is Wikipedia, so it is wrong to post a specific page link from where you copied it. and developing your own content is a thousand-time hit, believe me, it's not hard to close your eyes and think that your mind will give you a million ideas in a second that you need to work on.

What is a citations?
Citations are basically a reference to where you got the content, also called a reference to the source.

Citation Example:
let's talk about health

"The word health refers to a state of complete emotional and physical well-being. Health care exists to help people maintain this optimal state of health"source

"I have read and understand the Steemit etiquette on the Steemit community and will do my best to accept them"
