For today, I will be doing my Task 3 which tackles about content etiquette - plagiarism.

PLAGIARISM is;

an act or instance of using or closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without authorization and the representation of that author's work as one's own, as by not crediting the original author

Plagiarism is very rampant in the online word due to the advancement of our technology we can be able to copy and paste contents of the other authors. It can also compromise our integrity as a writer and in the long run, it might loose the respect that is given to you by your co-creator and as well as your mentors.

Every content creator should respect the works of others, should respect the time and effort that the creator gave to thier work.

As a creator, we can always get some ideas from the other works provided that we are doing it in the proper way. But how can we avoid Plagiarism?

WAYS TO PREVENT PLAGIARISM

Here are some ways to prevent plagiarism:

1. PARAPHRASING

• is being able to tell the meaning of the phrase in our own words but retaining the same meaning of the context

2. CITATION AND QUOTATION MARKS

• basically, it is one way of informing your readers that there are parts of your content came from other's work. The name of the author, time publish, the place where it is published should be cited accordingly. Sometimes it is associated with quotation marks to emphasize the words that are now ours. By simply acknowledging were your source came from is not hard as we think it is.

3. CREATE YOUR OWN IDEA

• the best way to avoid plagiarism is simply being unique. We should create contents base on our own words. I believe that we can be able to create good quality contents when we do it with a heart.

To sum it all up, showing respect and good manners towards other authors and content creators by acknowledging thier work will build a good connection towards each other. Avoiding plagiarism can also boost your moral as a content creator.
