ACHIEVEMENT 2 BY @nikkypeter, Task-Basic security on steem

Hello my beautiful people in steemit platform, am happy to proceed to my achievement 2, and am grateful to @eliany for her assistant, this achievement 2 focuses on basic security on steemit.
It is important to be security conscious especially on steemit platform because hackers are everywhere on the internet, and once my steemit account is high jacked everything is lost, including my token.

Therefore I have taken time to study this platform to know how to safeguard my important information, I did a form of self examination using questions below.

1. HAVE YOU RETRIEVE ALL YOUR KEYS ON STEEMIT?
   YES,I have, as soon as I signed up, I was give a master password, which I used to enter my steemit.com wallet and retrieve all my keys.

2. DO YOU KNOW EACH OF THESE KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS?
   YES, I know, and I will like to briefly state them below
   • MASTER PASSWORD: this is the password I received immediately sign up and then this password is used to generate all other Keys. This password is well safe because if lost, someone can access my account through this key. This key is only used when you want to recover your account.
   • POSTING KEY: this key is used to post, comment, esteem content, follow people and mute account, it is used to login to steemit account more often.
   • ACTIVE KEY: this key is used to transfer tokens, do power up or down, convert steem to dollars, vote for witness, place an order or an exchange, publish a witness price feed.
   • OWNER KEY: This keys used to reset all other Keys including owner key, posting key and active key, recover your account, decline voting rights. It is very important key in steemit platform.
   • MEMO KEY: It is used to send an encrypted message, and also view an encrypted message.

3. HOW DO YOU PLAN TO KEEP YOUR MASTER PASSWORD?
   Master password is very important so I plan to store an offline copy in a digital offline storage, like my flash drive or in my diary, which I have already done that.

4. DO YOU KNOW HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER STEEM USER ACCOUNT?
   YES, I know, let me briefly highlights the steps to go about it,
   • Log in to your steem account using your username
   • Click on your image at the top right
   • Click on wallet that is next to logout icon, it will take you to your steem wallet account
   • Sign in with your user name and active key and then click login
   • when you log in, click on the drop down arrow close to steem and select transfer.

• The next step, type in the username of the account user you want to make transfer to
• Input the amount and click next

Let me also state briefly the process in which steem can be converted to steem power, this is done from the wallet too,
• Click the drop down arrow close to steem, then select power up.

• Type in the amount in the box labeled amount,
• Click power up.
