Achievement 3 by @razoanmostofa Task : Content Etiquette

Hello my friends of the Newcomers' Community. I hope, all of you are in well health. After completing my Achievement 2, I was told to do the task of Achievement 3, directed by @cryptokannon. These Achievements will help us to understand the pros and cons of the Steemit. If a new user can complete the all of the task, he/she can achieve the goal of doing the blogging. Steemit is a such community, where we can share our thoughts and idea. But there is some people, who are trying to steal the post creator's idea. So we should be alert about it.

Steemit can bring about the world into our hand by sharing pictures, videos etc. So we should nurture it properly.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism means stealing the ideas of the original creator's without knowing or informing him/her. If anyone does copy one's ideas or thoughts it can be told as Plagiarism . This practice is very bad indeed. It is done by those people, who are very lazy to think about anything. It is a big and serious infraction of law.

Some people do the work of Plagiarism to gain a short term success. Because they don't want to use their own brain. Practicing plagiarism is a shameful job. There is no honor of doing that shameful task, rather it helps to kill one's creativity. Nowadays, the original content creators are facing this mean type of works. We should not do the practicing of plagiarism. We should avoid it build a well and balanced creative environment.

Types of plagiarism

1)Direct Plagiarism: It means copying words by words of the original content creator's work. It is done unethically. It is called direct theft when the original creator is being uninformed.

2) Self Plagiarism: If a person does the copy from his/her own previous work by changing a few words or sentences, then it is called Self Plagiarism.

3) Mosaic Plagiarism: It happens when a person uses a phrase without giving proper quotation, then it can be called as Mosaic Plagiarism.

4) Accidental Plagiarism: It happens when a person denies to cite proper information sources. It can be made when the word or sentences are being matched with one another.

Bad Impact Of Plagiarism

1) It can be the causes of damaging one's reputation. It can be a person or an organization.

2) Educational standard can go down because of practicing this unethical task.

3) Creativity can be hampered due to plagiarism.

4) It can be the monetary loss for anyone.

5) It is a unethical work. It has laws against it. So it can be the causes of custody or monetary loss for the culprit.

How To Avoid Plagiarism

  • One can read thoroughly the subject to understand properly. He/she can use more time to understand the topic. After understanding the subject/topic, he/she can make a summary of that topic. By summarizing the certain topic, one's can easily avoid the practicing of plagiarism. Because one's summary can not be fully matched with another.
  • There is a another way of avoiding plagiarism and it is called Paraphrasing. It means doing rephrase the sentences or word and then telling or writing it by using another words. But the original topic will remain the same.

  • The content creators can make a proper records of his works to avoid the plagiarism. It will help him/her to avoid the sudden problems.

  • Nowadays, there is availability of internet. So we can check the content by using Plagiarism checker. There is a various types of Plagiarism checker website. Such as- smallseotools, duplichecker etc.

  • By giving credit in-text citation can be the another way of avoiding plagiarism. After using any information in article we can give the source credit at the end of the article. In the mordern age we can see this kind practice in various types books, thesis papers, blogs and also in news articles. It is a very good practice. It doesn't violate the copyright issues.
