ACHIEVEMENT 6 BY @roma078: UNDERSTANDING CURATION AND COMMUNITY

I’m soo glad I am able to get to this point. My first aim is to get a pro newcomer batch and it’s becoming reality.

Q1. Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit?

Yes i do undertsand how voting and curation work on steemit.

There are two types of voting which is upvote and downvote just similar to like and unlike on youtube videos.

The green Arrow pointing upwards is the upvote while the red Arrow facing downward is the downvote. So basically its used to reward or punish users who make good or bad post. People who make post on steemit are called Authors while those who vote the posts are called Curators. Everyone on steemit with reasonally amount of steem power can be both Author and Curator because users have the ability to vote and make a post. A post is upvoted when the content is good and follows the rules and regulations of steemit and also a post is downvoted when it is not a quality content or goes against the rules and regulations of steemit. Plagiarizing and the use of copyrighted images are not accepted in steemit.

A user can upvote and distribute reward from the reward pool when they have some amount of steem power. How much you can give a post depends on how high or low your steem power is. Whenever you vote, you use some amount of your voting mana. New users with less than 500 SP always vote with a 100% power. Voting 100% will deduct 2% of your voting mana. Its recharged with 20% per day. The value of your vote decreases as your vote voting power decreases. So its advice to always make it recharge to 100% from around 70% to 80%. So averagely 10 votes per day as new come.

Each post has 7 days to be voted for. After 7 days that same post cannot be voted for anymore because its payout period is reached and the author at this point withdraw their reward. User reward is been divided into 50/50 for Steem Power and SBD.

Q2. What happened if you vote a post before 5 minutes marks after posting?

Immedately a post is posted, at this time 100% of curation reward remain in the reward pool. So basically voting a post before 5 minutes of publishing the curator loose an amount curation reward, thus goes back to the reward pool. Below is ths summery in a table form.

That is to say Curator gets 100% of curation reward after 5 minutes

Q3. Who will you vote for Steem Witness ? and Why?

Since i joined steemit i have used Steemworld.org the most which is created by @steemchiller, a big and special thanks to him. This tool helps you to keep track of all your activities, history, incoming and outgoing rewards, all times earning etc cant mention all.

With this note i will like to vote @steemchiller. His tool does make being on steemit so easy.

Q4. Which community will you join in Steemit, and why?

There are so many communities on steemit. So its up to a user to choose which communities they will love to join.

Since i joined steemit i have subscribed to communities where i have much knowledge and interest in.I first joined into the New comers community to help initiate me into the community and help me understand how steemit work through achievement pots. I joined Steemit Crypto Academy which will enhace me to learn more about Cryptocurrency, i love football and everything of it so i joined World of football , i joined Steem Ghana so i can know and interact with my ghanaian brothers, i joined promo Steem to help promote steemit to people around the world. As at now i am on a jouney to introduce as much as people i can.

CONCLUSION
I’m soo glad I finally finished my achievement posts from 1 to 6. This is a great achievement for me because my first target is to get the tag of a pro newcomer and it’s now be aiming reality. In my next post I will be compiling all my achievement posts link into one post.
