Good day to my fellow steemians in the world here is another opportunity to put up another achievement task haven't done with the achievement 1 and 2 task.

I am here to write on my achievements tasks to explain how I understand the word content etiquette, "PLAGIARISM"

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?

In my little way of understanding Plagiarism it occurs when someone uses the work of another artist without properly crediting the source or citing the source. Plagiarism is a sort of intellectual theft that is penalized by law.
There are different types of plagiarisms I shall explain them with the best way I can.

Types of Plagiarisms

  1. Direct Plagiarism
  2. Mosaic Plagiarism
  3. Accidental plagiarism
  4. Self-plagiarism
  5. Paraphrasing plagiarism

Direct plagiarism

This is a direct copying of someone else's work from a source and not citing the source of the information. This simply means that it is a stolen information.

Mosaic plagiarism

This is when someone copies someone else's work verbatim from a source without citing the source. This merely signifies that the information has been taken.

Accidental plagiarism

This is something done unknowingly when a person uses a word without quoting the source and it falls into another persons own it is regarded as plagiarism.

Self plagiarism

Self-plagiarism occurs when a student reuses his or her own work without the consent of the professor. When it comes to publishing, the writer must remember that the citation must mention all of the works he's using as a reference, even if it's an earlier work by the same author.

DISADVANTAGES OF SELF-PLAGIARISM

According to the way plagiarism is being described in an academic institution self plagiarism is a very big and questionable offense which is taken seriously. It can affect the grade of students performances if not taken into consideration while writing anything. For instance if someone is trying to use part of your written document to complement it work the person should be mindful of the implications.

Paraphrasing plagiarism

This is a medium in which people use in changing the word or statement to make sure the content doesn't match someone else's work or written words to words.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE CAUSES OF PLAGIARISM IN OUR SOCIETY.

  1. Inability to reading through documents
  2. Lack of sufficient knowledge.
  3. Desire to achieve a higher grade due to a lack of knowledge.
I'll give a brief explanation of how I interpret these outlines.

1. Inability to read through documents:

This occurs when someone is unwilling to read books in order to comprehend and write down what is said in the book. They prefer to copy straight because it is easier to achieve the desired outcome in a short amount of time. Laziness leads to failure in many areas, but being lazy when it comes to reading will lead to plagiarism.

2. Lack of sufficient knowledge:

A lack of sufficient information to comprehend messages, notes, or handouts on a certain course given to an individual might lead to an act of plagiarism in school in order to ensure that they pass the tough course.

3. Desire to achieve a higher grade due to a lack of ability to study.

Some people do this not because they are not knowledgeable, but because they want to impress the professor or audience, thus they copy from a book or handwork of someone else without correctly citing where the information originated from. In order to develop their own name, they began stealing other people's writings on a regular basis which is plagiarism.

WAYS WE CAN AVOID PLAGIARISM
  1. Making use of Paraphrasing checkers: When carrying out research try to make sure the information you are passing to the public is not posted by another person by using the Paraphrasing checker.
  2. Citing Sources: When making research always make sure that you properly cite the source of your information especially when the information was not create by you. Always make sure you give credit to owners.
  3. Create something unique: In trying to avoid plagiarism always make sure to create content of your own in a very simple and different manner. Use your own idea how you understand them that way you wont find yourself copying other people works.

In conclusion plagiarism is an act of stealing what belongs to someone else and making it looks like it belongs to them without citing or quoting the source. So haven't understood it implications we should try to stay away from plagiarism in our society in and our mind and always make our own unique things with our little understanding about something instead of copyright.
