Hello steemians, hope you all are doing very fine, my achievement 1 and 2 have been verified and here I am for the achievement 3 task in which I will be writing on plagiarism.....

Straight to business, what can we say plagiarism is?

PLAGIARISM
To me plagiarism can be simply defined as a way in which Mr. A copies Mr. B work without any citation to the owner, no reference or any quotation, thereby making it looks like his own work.

Example of citation is :

"If you love someone, you feel romantically or sexually attracted to them, and they are very important to you" source

Let's say for example Mr. B said that "drinking water is good for the body" and when Mr. A wanted to write his own he just said drinking water is good for the body, without quoting it, putting the source from where he saw it or referencing Mr.B as the owner of the definition thereby taking another person's praise for a job well done which can be either ways called theft.

There are different ways to plagiarism, let's briefly discuss few of them

SELF PLAGIARISM
Unknown to some people they do not know that self plagiarism do exist, you can as well plagiarize you own work. Self plagiarism can be seen as an act whereby you repost your previous work to another mentor or teacher without citing it that it's a previous work now making it look like a new work entirely.

DIRECT PLAGIARISM
It's an act when you copied someone else's work word for word without missing anything and still not citing them and putting the source.

COMPLETE PLAGIARISM
It's the type of plagiarism when you copied someone else's work entirely, you copied the complete writing, images, manuscripts etc in a way that portrays it's your own without acknowledging the initial writing.

ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM
This type of plagiarism is unintentionally done, it's the type when you misquote the source or the use of phrase.

MOSAIC PLAGIARISM
This one is when you mention the source but you didn't acknowledge the part that you copied, or when you didn't use the quotation sign for the copied aspects....

PARAPHRASING PLAGIARISM
In this one, is when the plagiarist copied another person's work but rearrange it or change the sentences by the use of synonyms and without citing the initial owner forgetting that the meaning will still be the same, it's only the grammar being used that change.
