INTRODUCTION

Hello guys based on my understanding of the importance,usage and application of the different steemit keys.i will love to use a practical case study to elucidate my achievement 2 post for a better comprehension.

CASE STUDY

A young, vibrant, intelligent student with these unquenchable thirst to study, applied for a degree in the top best world learning institution The Steemit Academy. Upon receiving her admission letter, she was given special keys and passwords which distinguishes one student from another. However, she must pass through the interview stage, in which questions regarding her special keys would be asked. Retaining her admission in The Academy rests solely on this stage, many couldn't make it past this stage.
The young steemian has read all the necessary instructions in regards to her special keys and is before the mean, stoic faced vice chancellor for her interview.
"Have you retrieved all your keys on Steemit?"

Queried the VC

• Yes i have, i did that after i signed up ; First click on wallet, then proceed to click on keys and permissions. "Fair enough thought the VC"
  

"Do you know each of these keys functions and restrictions?"
"Yes i know them all Mr VC"
"Go on and tell me replied the VC"

POSTING KEY

"The posting key is used to login daily, post comments, publish a post, edit, up vote or down vote, resteem contents, follow or mute people, and it cannot be used for monetary transactions" explained the young steemian

ACTIVE KEY

"The active is used for token transfers, power stem up or down, converting SBD, voting for witnesses, some profile changes, placing orders on exchange"

OWNER KEY

"The owner key is the most important key and is only used on special occasion when the need arises. This is because it can be used to change all the other keys, the owner key included and also recover your account"

the young steemian confidently continued

MEMO KEY

"The memo key is only used to encrypt or decrypt private messages sent through the block chain"

MASTER KEY

"Finally the master key generates all the other keys, even the owner key. It should only be used when recovering ones account and must be well secured, never give it out" he concluded
"Excellent" exclaimed the VC, many are not able to list the functions of their keys.
"Let's see if she gets the next question thought the VC"
"How do you plan to keep your master key safe" The Vc inquired

HOW TO KEEP THE MASTER KEY SAFE

"Well I stored it in both a hard and flash drive, i also wrote it down in a book which i kept in a very safe place known to me alone,since it cannot be recovered if lost"
Dah i thought she would make the mistake of telling me where she kept her master keys like the others thought the VC
"Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steemit user account?" Asked the VC
"Yes I do" replied the young steemian

HOW TO TRANSFER STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER STEEMIT USER ACCOUNT

"First you click on the down arrow next to the number of stem token in the wallet, then click transfer, after which you enter the account name you are making the transfer to, then fill in the amount, and click next, you then fill in a memo on the confirmation screen and proceed to click okay to confirm the transaction" the young steemian enumerated

"Now how do you power up one's steem" asked the VC already feeling proud of her new student.
"That's pretty simple" retorted the young steemian

STEEM POWER UP

"Just click the same drop down box next to the steem number, but instead selects power up, and insert the quantity of steem he needs, then click power up"

"Your admission to study in "The steemit academy" is hereby verified, you indeed merited it. You may proceed for other clearance as a full fledged steemian" exclaimed the VC who is very pleased with the steemian
"I am most pleased sir, it's an honor to be here" said the steemian happily carrying her back pack and off she went to begin her studies properly.
