Achievement 2 task basic security on steemit @yimzyemazor

Security is the state of being safe or protected from harm or danger. For instance many people keep German dogs as a mean of security to safeguard unwanted people from invading their environment, likewise security is very much important as regards to the preserving of my details on steemit platform , follow me as I explain in details the basic security keys on steemit.

Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

Yes I have retrieved all my keys, it was given to me on my first day of signing up.

Do you know each of these keys functions and restrictions

Yes I know their functions and their restrictions here are the list of keys.

• Memo key
• Owner key
• Active key
• Posting key
• Master password

Memo key: Memo key is used for transferring of fund , it is very important when transferring funds from one wallet to another.

Owner key: Owner key is the most powerful key, it can be used to change any key on any account so it is advisable to store ones owner key offline.

Active key: Active key is meant for transferring funds, it can be use to powerup or powerdown steem.we used active key to convert steem dollar to liquid steem and also use to upvote others. It is as well use to update profiles.

Posting key: posting key is the first key use to login account, it is use to comment, edit,vote, resteem post and follow someone.Posting key is what I use to login into my account everyday.

Master password: Master password is the overall key among every other keys because it can be used to generate other keys when a device is lost in other words it is call a recovery key.

My plan to make sure my master password is safe

I plan to keep my master key both online and offline. Online storage in my Google drive and offline by writing it down on a book .

I know how to transfer my steem token to another user, check below

Yes I can do the transfer by first locking into my wallet using my active key, close to my liquid steem I will click on the black small arrow,a page will open asking me either to transfer, powerup etc.i will select transfer , once I select transfer a two dashboard will open indicating where I will put the receiver's username and the amount of steem to be transferred to the user, after filling the data I will click on next then another page will open and I click ok once that is done the transfer is successful see the example below.

Do you know how to powerup your steem?

Yes I know how to power up my steem by first locking into my account using active key, close to my liquid steem I will click on the black small arrow,a page will open asking me either to transfer, powerup etc.i will select power up once I select powerup a two dashboard will open and I fill my own data by putting the amount of steem I want powerup and I click powerup to take me to another page where I will click ok and once I do that my steem is locked up.Here are the screenshot below

I am super excited that I have retrieved all my keys and understoond their functions and restrictions as well and with what I know I will be able to mentor others.
