The movie of today is a very old one. Most of you were not born when it was released. This movie is so old that it originally was in black and white.

A Night to Remember is a movie released in 1958, directed by Roy Ward baker and based on a book of the same name written by Walter Lord. At the beginning, this American author wasn´t interested in the story of this mythical ship, even the main audience wasn´t keen on all the details of the wreck of the Harlan & Wolff vessel but thanks to his book, people became interested in Titanic.

The baptism of Titanic in the opening scene

In my researching, I found that James Cameron knew about this film and he literally copied some scenes and dialogs and pasted them in his own film about Titanic. In this version of the story, the viewer won´t see the vessel break in two but it focuses on the psyche of the passegers and how they had to quit the idea of being saved.

I won´t say any other word because I may spoil you the plot -despite you know it already-. If you want to see the movie, it is available on YouTube. The images on this submittion are screenshots from the movie. If you hit the links down the images they will take you to it.
