Talking about film, Frances Ha (2012)

After surprised by the film of recent Oscar nominee Noah Baumbach 's Marriage story, I got curious to watch his previous films.

Frances Ha got my attention because it's filimg in black & white film in 2011🙌 and presence of critically acclaimed Adam driver who is also main lead in marriage story.

I though I get uncomfortable watching a black q& white for some minutes in to watching but it's quite alot opposite, I slowly getting notice of aesthetics, beautiful lighting and I felt in black white you will get more feel of actors emotions than in colour where they always distract.

Noah Baumbach 's unique style of characters talking -- they talk overlapping each other than waiting other to complete their dialouge. Only actors can understand how much painful it is to deliver their lines like that and how much practice and rehearsals needed before going on to set.

Coming to the plot, it's a story about a young professional dancer who lives in New York along with her friend trying her hand at a dancing company as apprentice ,seeking a position in their Christmas show which will make her settle in life. It explores the life of her, her friendships, desperation for career, continous urge for love, leading awkwardly with less money in city.

With Frances Ha I got to know about a sub genre of films that's called mumblecore, where the dialogues dominate over plot, exploring the personal relationships between characters along with naturalistic acting. I am so happy finally knowing there is a name for the genre for the type of films I like and my taste is natural 😃.

My love for Noah Baumbach got doubled after watching Frances Ha and the main lead Greta Gerwig absolutely rocked her role delivering master performance. She is also wrote the script along with Baumbach which is quite reason for how much she able to own the Frances.

I have special wish about women centric films that they should be more diverse, involving women in writing. Frances Ha is one that kind of job.

The most pleasure thing of the film are the dialogues and performances, throwing light on Frances's life's uncertainty, her wishes and how she moves on with each difficult circumstances continously.

The film also explores the friendships between adults, how much fragile they are.. how much lonely it can be if you are not successful or fighting for pursuing your passion on your own.
There is original humour when it's needed. There are scenes which describes why Frances evolved herself like that. There are expressions of Frances what she wants in her life and how much she loves to get an opportunity.

It's all relatable for every one who still struggle for their passion or love lonely. It's all fun to watch Frances standing up for herself some times leading to more trouble for her life.
It's original and it's also what happens in real lives.

Frances Ha is must watch for audience who loves realistic films, aspiring writers and who longs for aesthetics. Because if black & white every frame feels like painting you can hang in your bedroom to stare before you go sleep.

This Sunday you can give a try without absolute doubt and cherish the performances & writing.
