Planning to power down both STEEM and HIVE. DPoS has proven to be a failure in my opinion. For those here for the social media aspect then it seems a choice may be in order.
There were weaknesses in DPoS exploited in the past few weeks which need to be addressed. But this is not the end of DPoS in my opinion. Things can be fixed and improved.
It will not be fixed by dragging the vested interests into the next incarnation, that is not any different other than a 30 day cool down period for witness voting. The banning of accounts which disagreed with the fork is another example of the egos involved in this from both sides. The way the Korean community was treated was unprecedented in blockchain forks.
Unfortunately a war is messy. We can see this about corona virus situation around the world, which is not DPoS.
Don't get the corona connection yet Hive censorship is making discussion difficult here anyway. Be nice once Bernie has finished powering down. He should be twice the bully on Hive once finished.
