Watercolor painting Timelapse and Process - Snowshoe on the Rideau River
This is a Watercolor painting Timelapse I made today from my walk along the River with Lola.
I have also included photos of my basic process below ...

Step 1: make a quick pencil sketch on the Watercolor paper... showing main landscape features.
Step 2: Do a light wash of Sky and shadows along the River bank
Step 3: Add trees in distance, working my way to foreground
Step 4: Add darker trees, shadows, details and finally when the paper is dry add the snowshoer in foreground.

What a delightful post, you sure know how to create very effective and beautiful watercolour paintings. And what a lovely idea to show us how you got to your finished product with the timelapse video, you almost made it look easy but I'm sure it wasn't! There's something about watercolour paintings that I am totally drawn to, still can't work it out but they are beautiful pieces of art. Thanks for sharing your work.
Thank you very much. I have posted quite a few of these. Lots of oil paintings and ink sketches too. I enjoy watching them also since I can see where I should have stopped working on certain areas of the painting or sketch.,
