It was necessary because some proposals were getting thousands of steem daily even though the OP publicly stated that they will move everything to Hive. I personally don't know why they didn't post a public announcement about this to at least clarify the situation, they just kept accepting resources for basically doing nothing for Steem anymore.

I believe Steempeak should receive support from dao again once the storm dust settles down, what you are doing is really valuable. I just hope that you guys keep a professional approach toward the whole situation and not fall in the trap of tribalism.
