Hello people,

It's a great pleasure for us to share our snorkeling souvenirs of 2019 in Mauritius island.

The main reason why we're sharing this experience is because we were nostalgic when we heard that it's been already 1 year since the MV Wakashio oil spill. Unfortunately the bulk carrier grounded on the reef at Pointe d'Esny and shorelines became drenched in almost 1,000 tonnes of toxic fuel, destroying the livelihood of countless fishermen and tourism workers.

During our stay in 2019, we went through different beaches around the island and OUR FAVORITE was Pointe d'Esny; the BEST SNORKELING SPOT so far.

It is a small local town where tourism isn't so dominant as on other parts of the island and is at approximately 10 minutes by car from the village of Mahebourg.

The sand is so fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine !!!!!!!!

The beach is very long and quiet with calm and clear water. It is also great for walks, there is enough place for children to play and is never crowded.

However the Pointe d'Esny beach is backed by private bungalows, it doesn't have shops around. So before you go, stop at a supermarket to buy basic things like water, food etc.

Little paradise !!!!!!!!!!

We have great souvenirs of this place, of the fishes and the corals, of the breathtaking turquoise lagoon with the mountains in the background. We know that meanwhile in this particular region of Mauritius, life of the inhabitants has completely changed and we can't wait to return back to the island and help.

Thanking you sooooo much for reading and supporting us!!!!

Best regards.
