For the preparation of the audit report the following should be taken into account, the document should provide the necessary and relevant information related to the examination performed and should respond to the objectives that gave rise to the audit.

The aforementioned audit manuscript must be concise, while sufficiently clear and complete, including essential phrases and facts to facilitate its understanding, it must also present comments, conclusions and recommendations in an objective manner, duly supported by evidence documented in working papers that support at any time its accuracy and veracity.

It must be accurate with respect to the information it contains and correct in relation to grammar, spelling and punctuation, written in an appropriate tone, free of antagonistic words or phrases, providing criticism with a fair perspective considering the circumstances surrounding the observed fact and giving suggestions for improvement ations.

In order to ensure that audit reports are free of errors, whether in presenting findings and observations, their causes, effects and recommendations for remediation, it is necessary that the supervisor of the audit team applies appropriate procedures for the review of working papers and quality control.

Finally, the content of the report must be credible, i.e. it must express accurate judgments, which must be fair and impartial, the validity of the report may be questioned if the report fails in its accuracy. Therefore, to prove the merits and reasonableness of the matters reported, it is necessary that the observations and conclusions be supported by sufficient, competent and appropriate evidence arising from the working papers.
