It's hard to disagree, that uncertainty and lack of trust towards the markets are going to be major reason for all businesses to slow down.

Lol. I'm slowly tired of hearing that :) This small attempt to replace top20 witnesses is far from "taking over" entire blockchain.
Right now witnesses are stronger than they ever been before and since all of them represent one group - we can clearly say that steem will be fully centralized once Justin will remove his witnesses.
Future of steem blockchain is surely one huge question mark.
First, steemit seems to have stoped to create account for new users.
Seriously? I never knew about it. Where did you get that info from? Shocking.

I believe that steem only has a future when both parties manage to come together and find common solutions. This seems however quite illusory when I see that nobody really knows what they want in the first place... The community speaks with hundreds of voices and most of them are simply fueled with emotions that don't take the opposite party into consideration...
Blaming and accusing each other is certainly not helpful to go forwards...
