RE: Let's know more about DeFi and its main features

in Project HOPE3 years ago

I just bumped into one of your recent posts @dgalan

It's already few days old so I'm not even sure if you will still read any comments. Hopefully you will. Either way - upvote on the way.

Moving back int your topic:

We can start by pointing out that DeFi are Decentralized Finance, i.e. groups of financial instruments built on the blockchain that are not controlled by any entity, unlike traditional Finance that is governed by banks

Truth be told, I sometimes wonder if so called DeFi are indeed decentralized in any shape or form? As far as I'm concerned, only AAVE is fully decentralized.

Pretty much all remaining DeFi (either it's pancakeswap, uniswap, robiniaswap etc) are having centralized teams behind them. Which means, that they can be fully controlled by 3rd parties (like our goverments).
Wouldn't you agree?

Stay safe and have a great weekend ahead,
Cheers, Piotr

In theory, DeFi is decentralized, but in practice there are many examples where this is not the case.

It is very true your appreciation and I share it, since many DeFi do not fulfill their promises and this is what makes them change the criteria of decentralization.

Thank you very much for sharing your opinion with me my friend @crypto.piotr
