Are you bothered about how your goal for the new year coming along?

in Project HOPE2 years ago

After the short rest, I had today, I woke up and starred at my goals for the first month of the new year, after that, I starred at what I have been able to cover and my mood dropped instantly, I questioned myself and my ability to meet my target, but instantly something in me reminded me of the fact that we were just four (4) days into the new year and immediately I was calm. I am making this post for people like me who are already doubting their strength based on how things are looking now, it is my sincere wish that, after you read this post, you will become energized to continue to push and consistently remain positive about achieving your goals for the week.

  • Give yourself time.
The year is still very young, and it is actually not fair to begin to push too hard this early, I am not saying you shouldn't work hard, but rather work hard and try not to push yourself to the extreme if you consistently accumulate positive effort on a daily basis, you will be so surprised at how much you would have achieved by the end of the year, so do your best to give in the required effort on a daily basis but do yourself a favor of not constantly checking your goals every five minutes.

  • Get a mentor.
I am sure that an experienced mentor will let you know how it isn't easy to achieve your goals within a short time, a mentor would guide and put you through, and by the time you both study your progress together, you will be shocked to realize how well you are doing. A mentor will also be there to let you know if you are pushing yourself beyond necessary.

  • Review your goals and your progress.
I am sure you are shocked to see this point after I just said you shouldn't go about checking your goals every 5 minutes, yes, I insist that you shouldn't go about checking your goals every minute, but it isn't a bad idea to break down the achievement of your goals into a daily plan and review those plans consistently at the end of everyday work.

  • Always surround yourself with positive people.
I really believe that, if you are with positive people, there will be no need to regularly think about how much you are failing, staying with happy people makeses you happy but happiness should not be a yardstick for you not to remember your goals.
