How Often Do You Flex Your Financial Capabilities?

The Money Effect

It's often perceived that the effect of money is often evident on the holder but to me, I'll only say to an extent. This is because sometimes a person's investment can be made known and hardly hidden. One of the criterias through which wealthy people are ranked or categorised is through their investments which are visible and affiliated or liaised to them.

But then the wealth of a crypto holder is hardly visible, it's locked away and inaccessible by another person and until this person begins to cash out and buy into real-time properties you wouldn't really say they're wealthy or rich because you just don't know if they actually are.

A lot of people often feel the need to flex their their financial capabilities, while others try not to, the reasons are often different. In my society, wealthy people try so hard to hide the fact that they have money. However a wealthy person can hardly do this partially because they would spend on housing, cars, landed properties, invest in things that would fetch them extra income from the wealth they already have acquired especially if it was an inherited fortune.

This things are evident although people can not totally tell the whole valuation or worth of a wealthy person except they do not have fiat currency in offshore accounts all over the world. This is often done by people who are illegitimately rich like politicians whose incomes are known yet they're vastly rich.

So why do most wealthy people try to stay anonymously rich?

Nefarious means of income; this is always a thing especially with African billionaires. Most of them are monopolists in conjunction with fascist governments to milk the poor rather than sharing wealth-making opportunities with smaller ventures to foster a better economy while this is more popular we have self made billionaires who are just not in the media and prefer to live private lives

We have private wealthy people in so many sectors especially in commerce, people who have made their billions by being diligent, efficient and effective to their works. Another thing is, a few other people who are wealthy are stingy are miserly with their wealth. They feel that it was difficult for them to make their wealth hence they needn't give back to the society or people they know.

While Poor Who Do Not Have So Much....

Try so hard to flex the little they have in an aggrandised manner. but then why is this? The pressure to seem rich;. Sometimes some people inadvertently intimidate others with they way they flex their financial capabilities and hence it creates a certain competitiveness amongst themselves. When I was younger living in a low cost housing with my parents.

The neighbours often compete with who owns the more properties, hence to create a sense of plenty, people use to spend beyond their means to seem rich meanwhile, they're hardly rich in the actual sense. It's a phenomenon that's actually very popular in my society till date. Truth is, when there's means or plenty there's this psychological impact it brings and this is the same with not having so much.

However...

People are becoming wealthy through more compact means like crypto and hence creating invisible wealth. This means that in the future we wouldn't categorise people's wealth because they are invested in real estates or own huge companies. Nevertheless it it comes to a person thing, I know a lot of people who own their total worth from what they wear.

Their iPhones, expensive watches and high end diamond chains. While others are the direct opposite but having streams of incomes. People have innate reasons to showcase their wealth and this runs really deep psychologically. Sometimes when we look at how often we spend, the things we spend on and to what end we actually spend it can reflect the reasons why a lot of time we chose to flex our financial capabilities or not.

Sort:

You are actually right, especially in this part of the world where everyone wants to look rich and so place unnecessary pressure on themselves. Most people find themselves doing illegal stuffs because they want to be rich, while others take loans and eventually become worse.

I think one thing I have noticed is that no matter how try the wealthy man try to hide it's wealth, the poor will try to publicise it effectively at the end
