You can get accounts and store money in lots of other currencies as well, but in fact, most people use transferwise for international money transfers. In other words, they use it when they want to send SEK (Swedish Kroner) to a USD bank account in the USA, or if they want to send PESO to a Euro account or whatever. That is the biggest use-case of TransferWise, but I personally use the bank accounts more!
