The first tip is to set a study guide for yourself and do it early. Some students will not open their lecture notes after class or their textbooks until they see the exam timetable and then they will begin to crash the entire materials in days and hope to achieve success. You need to have a study schedule of how to study and do it daily. The little you read on a daily basis will give you a more cumulative study time than waiting for last minute to read the entire syllabus. You need to draft a study schedule and stick to it and then update it as need be. Let something guide your study pattern. If you do not have what to motivate you to study, you may see studying as a burden. You need to understand that as a student, studying is among your core responsibilities and you need to do it on time. You need to have a specific and clear goal of what you want to study and the other extra-curricular activities to engage in.

As a student, you also have to use time in your favour. You have to know that as soon as the semester or the term starts, then work has begun and you need to start early to study so as to cover up what you need to before the exam period, so as not to put yourself into unnecessary pressure of having to pack everything at once. If you think there is still time and you can read later, you will be surprised how far spent time will be before you realise it. You will not get more hours in a day than the other students but the same 24hours. So it is what you do with the time you have that will either bring you gain or pain.

Another tip to consider is to understand your strengths, limits, weakness, learning style, and your abilities. When you understand your learning style, it will guide you how to study. For example, there are some people that cannot study calculational subjects in the day time when there is noise but at night where everywhere is already calm. You know your strength and your abilities, so let your studying routine align with it. Everyone has a different study pattern, so you need to find what works for you and stick perfectly with it so as to achieve the best result. When I was in school, there was this guy that always reads with soft music playing in the background. To others, it may be a distraction, but to him, it is how he reads and understands. You cannot try to copy him if you cannot cope with that kind of reading style, otherwise it will be counterproductive. So do what will be productive for you.

The next studying tip to look at here is to lay your hands on exam past questions and study with them. This particular tip cannot be overemphasized and has helped a lot of students to achieve success in their exams. When you study with past questions, it will give you clarity to understand how the exams look like and what to expect. It will also help you to know how the exam are usually set. More so, some of these examiner also repeat the same questions from past years, so by studying with past questions, you will already have an edge over others who do not.

The last tip to make your study life easy is to stay healthy; physically, mentally, and maintain balance in other aspects of your life. Even though you are to study, you should also make out time to balance other aspects of your life and know your limit. Reading for hours without taking break may cause "diminishing return" and the result might be counterproductive. When you study, also try to rest and engage in other activities like hobbies, etc, to help you relax yourself. Trust me, after resting, you will discover that you can study better.
