According to a recent McKinsey study, 2021 was a year of change: individuals, organizations, and communities began to look forward to influencing their future rather than living in the present.

While it is difficult to make accurate predictions in an unexpected area that we have experienced over the past two years, the coming year will bring many surprises. Here are six digital trends that will impact life in 2022.

1. Social media: more privacy, quality, and algorithm tweaks

Platforms will focus on privacy and the quality of feed content. Despite recent public criticism, Facebook is likely to increase membership and revenue.

About privacy and content quality, all major social media platforms will likely have reviewed their privacy policies and adjusted their algorithms by the end of 2022. Due to the need for solid, inclusive content, a new nation of creative promoters will grow rapidly. and made a significant contribution to product branding and engagement.

Due to the growing popularity of short video content, Instagram and TikTok are likely to see an increase in advertising costs by 2022, and Instagram will continue to grow beyond its 50% revenue share. 3. Accelerate the growth of crypto and NFT

From a temporary fashion to a new economy, NFT has developed what Harvard Business Review calls "digital actions". In the digital world, NFT is a unique asset that can be bought and sold just like any other.

These digital tokens can be used to purchase material such as real-life drawings, or tangible assets such as digital art, in-app purchases, and virtual properties.

The Frankfurt School Blockchain Center predicts a US $ 1.5 trillion (£ 1.1 trillion) token market in Europe over the next three years. Real estate, mortgages, bonds, stocks, copyrights, real art, visual arts, and collections are all examples of potential token assets.

6. New work environment, new skills

As the work environment will changes, skills will follow. According to the World Economic Forum, by 2022, new jobs will account for 27% of corporate executives, and expired technical positions will drop from 31% to 21%.

The revolution in the division of labor between people, computers, and algorithms has the potential to create 75 million current job opportunities while producing 133 million new ones. Data analysts, software and application developers, e-commerce professionals and communications professionals will be much needed.

Many “human” functions, such as customer service, organizational development, and innovation management, are expected to grow. Thus, far from “taking over our jobs”, AI will create jobs and ensure employment in many different fields.

I strongly agree with all your points here as regards the top trends in 2022 starting from NFT s, AI in food production system, new environment and new skills. There's really no doubt that the world is going digital so don't be astonished if most of the things we do physically appears to be online.

Well, i must confess that all this trends are true and it will be a matter of time before they start surfacing the internet. I agree with the privacy part in the social media aspect and i feel that people will fancy and crave for privacy as they socialize. Also, the aspect of metaverse and NFt growing more is true as almost all projects wants to be associated with this project
