Best Gameplay Week 13 // PIRATE CAPTAIN Battle Challenge
Peace Splinters,
Greetings to you, wherever you are located.
I would like to share this battle detail as an entry in the contest at Gaming souls.
I am grateful for this opportunity.
The challenge battle of this week focuses on the Pirate Captain, a member of the water elemental team, and its role in the strategies of the game.
In this challenge, the water elemental cards will show their potential in this highly competitive board game.
Battle Ruleset:
1 . Armored up
2 . Keep your distance
3 . Mana 99
The heat in the arena reached its maximum right before the seventh round.
The lineup of the cards in the arena
My opponent summoned Jarlax "the undead" with the Death elemental team composed of monsters skilled up to level 7.
- Prismatic Energy Lv5; Magic reflect, void
- Lord Arianthus Lv2; Shield void, magic reflect.
- Gelatinous Cube Lv7; Scavenger, heal
- Phantom of the Abyss Lv1; Flying Dogde.
- Pirate captain Lv1; Snipe
- Crustacean King Lv4; Tank heal
--
One of my favorite Water Summoners was in the arena helped with water elemental cards:
Summoner: Vera Salacia
- Gelatinous Cube Lv5; Scavenger
- Gargoya Devil Lv1; Flying, Close range
- Undead Priest Lv3; Weaken
- Haunted spider Lv4; Poison
- Twisted Jester Lv7; Snipe, Dodge
- Mantoid Lv1; Snipe
In the arena, both teams had a fairly equal level of experience when I compared cards submitted by each player.
My strategies
I knew that keeping your distance ruleset was going to force my opponent to play heavy magic strikes. My strategy was simply to fire back and heal as much as possible. Prismatic energy was effectively playing his role in this battle. Lord Arianthus and Gelatinous were in support in case range enemy monsters took down Prismatic. Pirate Captain snipe's ability allowed my team to inflict damage to the opposite side while returning a large volume of magic strikes.
Did my strategy work?
Yes, it worked and I wasn't surprised my captain didn't jump off the boat before the last round. Phantom of the Abyss poured down on the enemy line so many magic strikes that recording the battle up to the seventh round felt like something else was going on the battlefield.
Do I often select PIRATE CAPTAIN to fight in the arena? why or why not
I have played with the captain not as many battles as I would like to. I have an interesting role for the captain in my lineup in the early days of the Untamed released series of cards. The situation has changed gradually with the level up of various powerful cards. My strategies have changed over time from the defensive to the offensive when it comes to summoning my water team. Therefore I have less played the Captain card instead I geared up more sneak melee water elemental monsters.
