Steem greetings all the way from the motherland-Cameroon to all my friends in the Hindwhale community. It is the last week of engagement challenge and I’m happy to share my thoughts about the topic "What happens if motor vehicles are banned around the world?” Follow me as I share ideas following the guiding questions below 👇.
What happens if motor vehicles are banned around the world?
Judging from stories I was told by my dad during his early years, there existed no vehicles, they only means of transportation was by trekking using their feet. My grand father use to narrate how they walk barefooted because there were no shoes.
However, they move along, walking several kilometres from Cameroon to Nigeria for business purposes. The good thing about it is that they lived longer and my grand father died at the age of 119 years.
Today, it is difficult to live up that age because we want to take a bike or taxi or our personal car to every short distance we cover per day. Therefore, banning motor vehicles around the way has a lot of negative impact for us.
Will humans again seek the help of animals for transport?
In my community, the only people using animals as a means of transportation are the Muslims using their horses to transport their goods. Christians are not use to this means of transportation and most of us not familiar with the horse are even scared to go closer to the horse.
Most Christians in my community will prefer to trek rather than use the horse. Also, with the increase rights to protect animals, many will see the use of animals for transportation as an abuse to animal rights.
How would our environment be without motor vehicles?
In as much as motor vehicles are important for humans for their daily use, it poses a threat to the environment.
First motor vehicles emit toxic gases in to the atmosphere which causes serious damage to greenhouse effect.
Motor vehicles also damaged the environment in the sense that the gas emitted pollutes the environment.
Lastly, it creates a lot of discomfort through the unwanted noise produce by some of the vehicles.
What will it be if humans invent any form of transportation other than the motor in the future?
Inventing a total new mode of transportation is a very difficult task as it will entail lots of research, creativity, cost, time, etc to create something totally new.
However, if humans want to create a new means of transportation in the future, they should first consider the negative effects of motor vehicles and ensure the new mode of transportation is coming to solve the issues created by the motor vehicles.

Your post is formidable and straight to the point. Reading, I came across your grandfather's story, brings me memories of my grandmother, same story. Wonderful to see him lived that long.
Vehicles band completely is not actually going to be possible. But we should remember like you said this vehicle make us lazy. Pollution the environment which is a major problem.
Research will take time to locate new modes of transportation, where as for the mean we can try to see what can be done to limit the harmful effects of vehicles.

It is difficult to imagine animal-drawn vehicles in the absence of motorized vehicles, but you told that people of your community are afraid of horses, and prefer to travel on foot. But this takes a lot of time. We will have to consider other options equally.

If motor vehicles are banned around the world, there will be negative impacts on humans’ ability to transport themselves and their goods. Since vehicles are threat to the people, stopping it from driving will be the best decision for the environment.
Yes, I have also noticed that people in the ancient time were privileged to live longer due healthy lifestyle compared to the present world where almost everything is artificial.

Motor vehicles indeed play a vital role in daily life but pose significant environmental threats. you have shared a nice tropic with us .Going through your post , I come to know that you gave various answer about your post.If the motorcar ban ,we will suffer a lot of .It took long time to reach from one place to another places.If the people can take help from other vehicle,it will not be better than the other vehicle think that if there is no vehicles we will suffer a lot. we can not move easily from one place to another.If we use other vehicle instead of motorcar ,our environment will be from all kind of pollution. So, we all should participate in this competition to know various things.
