Well, first let's get on with the business first. The power up process is pretty simple and straightforward which can e done in our wallet. It's basically converting our liquid steem in to steem power. Once we did it, it needs 4 weeks to convert it to the original form for steem and exchange. but when you heard about benefits of this investment it worth the wait!
The Steps
- When we go to our wallets, there's drop down option in front of Steem, where there's power up option!
Before Power Up
When you click the power up option as above, you are there
50 STEEM POWER-UP
Just give the amount you need to power up, and with the active key you are good to go!
After Power Up
- Before Power Up - 159.969 Steem, 18312.324 SP
- Amount Power up - 50 Steem
- After Power Up - 109.969 Steem, 18362.3324 SP
So, to the importance question!
Why Should We Power Up?
Growth of our Account - As most of us start as newbies, step y step the account grows with increasing of our steem power. Seeing its growth is the real satisfaction here.
Commitment and Reputation - The higher the SP, it's just like a mirror that reflects your consistency, commitment and hard work that put in the community!
Increased Voting Power/ Delegation to communities - Higher the SP, higher the value of pour voting value. So, it can e used to appreciate quality account. In return the portion of curation rewards will increase. On the other hand, we can strengthening communities y delegating!
Unlocking Opportunities - Having a specific amount of SP is a necessary requirement to apply for some positions like, Steem representatives, curators, or moderator. So, show your worth and reach milestones/ dolphin levels.
