I am starting out this post with a screenshot showing that at the moment i have 1,178 Steem staked. First of all I will have to redeem the rewards I have earned before trying to power up whatever liquid Steem is left.

Done. Now I have 1,199 Steem staked plus nearly 20 liquid Steem which is what I will be powering up in a few moments.

So as you can see now I have 2,019 Steem staked. This is the goal I set for myself at the beginning of this year to reach by December. Now, I have had ups and downs this year as always happens to me with my online endeavors. Around May I think, I decided 1,200 was to lofty a goal so I went for 1,000, and around July I decided even that was too much so I lowered it to 800. Then the last few months I have had several good votes from @steemcurator, actually starting from the Eurocup and I have gone to reaching my original goal. Seems football articles are my thing, they are the ones that give me the most views, votes and payments. I am not a good writer but I did play football when I was young, I really like the sport, and after so many years I do know a thing or two about it, not an expert but good enough to give a relatively knowledegable opinion.

So I have to say powering up gives you a good feeling, it increases your visibility, it helps others because your vote has a little more value every time plus I get better curation rewards. in my case I get very little in curation rewards as my vote value is very low, still powering up has made that value increase. Now i have to see how far I do go this year.
