Hi friends Greetings!!

Perhaps if man had not invented fire, what would this earth have looked like.jpg

We went to our relative's house in Chennai two days ago. They are close relatives of my husband. My husband's brother's daughter is married and lives in Chennai with her husband and mother-in-law. And since she is pregnant, we went to Chennai to meet her and know about her health.

According to our family formalities, when we visit a pregnant woman and inquire about her well-being, it is customary to give her gifts such as sweets, snacks, fruits and flowers. So in the morning we got up and got ready and first went to the nearest sweet shop. The sweet shop is the famous A to B Ananda Bhavan and they have lots of fresh sweets. For example there were laddu, jalebi, mysurpa, sonpapdi, kaju kadli, beda, raskula, padusa, malai ras etc. We bought a kilo of various sweets from them.

After that we went to the nearby market and bought fruits like apples, pomegranates, grapes, mangoes, a string of jasmine flowers and a rose flower. Then we went to their house and gave them as a gift to the pregnant woman. His mother-in-law and she received it. Then we were treated to breakfast.

In Chennai and we had an important work i.e. my daughter is joining an engineering college so if she applied in sports quota then the certificate verification was going on that day for the applicants. It was to be held at Anna University there, so we had to go to Anna University. Anna University was about the last kilometer from the house where we were staying so after breakfast we said goodbye to them and went to Anna University.

As the metro train is running in Chennai, more bridges have been built and as the metro train is being extended to many places, the work was going on, so we could see the construction work on the route and I took pictures of them.

We were traveling about 20 km in our car. There were many buildings to see on the way. They were also beautifully constructed. And Chennai being a very old city, its roads were very narrow. So, there was a traffic jam everywhere. So the cart could not be driven fast. It took two or two-and-a-half hours to go somewhere that took one hour.

World (2).jpg

After about 2 hours drive we reached Anna University. A security guard stopped our cab at the Anna University gate and asked us where to go. Then he told us that we have come for certificate verification and showed us where to park the cab. Then he guided us where to go and accordingly we parked the car in the car park. We walked to the building he pointed to.

World (3).jpg

Anna University campus was very big. The whole area was covered with green trees and plants. Once inside, huge statues carved out of stone were placed on both sides of the path for viewing. In those idols, the famous temples and sculptures of Tamil Nadu have been combined into one sculpture. They were very beautiful to look at. I photographed them. Then we walked to the building we were supposed to visit.

After going to that building, certificate verification was going on there. Many students were doing verification by showing their certificate. As we entered we were given a token and directed to a table. Two preachers were sitting there. They welcomed us and checked our certificates. Then he marked it and said that the result will be declared online on the 11th. They also said that my daughter is eligible. We were happy to hear that good news.

World (5).jpg

After the certificate verification, we came out and looked around the university campus for a while. We stopped here and there and took photos. The campus is very big and beautiful. Being a government college campus, cleanliness was a bit less. After leaving there, we planned to go to Paris Corner, a famous market in Chennai, and left by car.

World (6).jpg

We had to go through Anna Salai Road and the main road and we got to see old buildings on both sides like LIC Building, Chennai High Court Building, Chennai Hospital Building etc. We saw and took photos.

World (7).jpg

Then after going to Parry's Corner, there was a parking lot on the side of the road, there was an empty space, we parked our car there and went into the market, there were many shops among them, we searched for where the gift shops were, we went into that bank and bought some gift items, then from there we went to a restaurant there and had snacks and snacks. Time was 8 pm, after refreshing we left from there.

Thus we spent a whole day in Chennai and the experience was very pleasant. I hope you will like this diary, we have come back from Chennai with family. Be sure to post your views in the comment section.
