Hi friends,

Diwali festival was celebrated here the day before yesterday Diwali is a joyous festival celebrated all over India. During the festival, people wear new clothes, burst crackers, share sweets and congratulate everyone.

The day before Diwali, my husband and son went to the market and bought crackers, lamps, decorative items etc. Last time it was Diwali my son was very afraid of bursting crackers but this time as he has grown up he was very interested in bursting crackers he went to the market with my husband and bought all the crackers he needed and after coming home he was happy to see all of them.

On the occasion of Diwali, everyone wears new clothes, especially the most expensive ones. Because Diwali is the most sacred and joyful day of every Hindu. My daughter bought our traditional dress "ap saree" for this Diwali and wore it. My son had bought a new pant shirt, I had bought a silk saree but my blouse was not ready for sewing, the tailor was very busy and he apologized to me. I also said no problem and wore a new saree that day. After the pooja, the children were bursting firecrackers.

We had already cleaned and decorated the house for Diwali. On the morning of Diwali, everyone dressed in new clothes and worshiped the God by garlanding the image of the God and lighting a lamp to perform the pooja. As soon as the puja was over, my son and daughter took the firecrackers that they worshiped in the puja and lit them.

I put the delicacies we made in our house on plates and shared them with my neighbors and then shared diwali greetings with everyone on the phone.

It is a myth to perform Lakshmi Puja at home on Diwali evening. We believe that doing so will bring wealth and peace in the home. For this pooja the house is kept very clean, the image of Goddess Lakshmi is kept and decorated, the Kumbha is lit and the Kumbha is decorated and women sit in front of the image and perform aarti.

It was 6:30 pm for that puja and after that it got dark my kids started bursting night firecrackers they set firecrackers like sparklers, color wheels, flowerpots, rockets etc. This time there were more new arrivals like peacock crackers, drone crackers, 12 Chat, 20 shot, 30 shot bursts in the sky showing decorative lights were more. My daughter and her friends kept them at the door of our house

How wonderfully you have decorated the house, worn new clothes, and the family together for the Pooja. Every celebration brings lots of joy to the children these can be seen from the few picture posts in the begging. The last-minute change of your saree looked so lovely. Sharing sweets and greetings with neighbors makes a strong bond. From my personal experience, fortunately, I have seen these celebrations so closely. The belief that you have in your God is very transparent by expressing the Lakshmi Puja ritual you did with trust and affection. The variety of firecrackers, especially the new ones like peacock and drone crackers which lit up the night is striking to see, but I really do fear of these firecrackers but I love the lighting after outburst of it. It’s lovely to see that your daughter and her friends also warmly enjoyed the festivities. Thank you mam for sharing some wonderful celebration moments with us.
