EXAM DAY
Good day steemians!
Its been a month already since I went back to work after my sad experience of miscarriage. And this week, before we took a break due to Holy Week, we had our 3rd Quarter Examination.
✨ALL ABOUT THE EXAMINATION✨
According to the Dictionary, "examination" is a formal test of a person's knowledge or proficiency in a particular subject.
And in school, we had a quarterly examination. And this is 20% of their grade. The quarterly examination entails the topic you discussed in 2 months time. And this moment, for their quarterly exam they will just answer a 50-item multiple choice question. Unlike on our times before that we will be answering not only multiple choice but also identification, matching type, solving, and worst essay. And I guess it is good to give the learners different type of questions not only multiple choice because the tendency is that they will not study anymore because it has choices already. But that is the command of the head so we must follow it.
In this examination, we just stayed on our advisory class to administer the test. Lucky to those who were special teachers and dont have an advisory class because they can start computing the grades.
In my class, before we started the exam m, I let them sit alphabetically. And tried to separte close friends to avoid any form of cheating. I also let them sit one seat apart so that cheating is not anymore a problem.
While they took the examination, I didnt do anything I just observe them so that if they had clarifications I can attend immediately to their needs. This moment is so sleepy but I had to fight for it to administer the test properly.
We made the exam for a day or two but the learners just answered it in 10-20 minutes. The alloted time is 1 hour. So, to avoid any commotion, if they were done already I let them review their answers and if they were done reviewing I let them took a power nap. I didnt let them open their notes nor use their phones anymore because the exam is a continuos process. Each row will receive different exam. After an hour they will pass it next to them. We had a two day exam. Four subjects for the first day and another 4 subjects for the second day.
