Steemit Engagement Challenge / S19/W1 - "Power Of Communication Skill"
Every human being has a positive side (success) and a negative side (failure). However, why do so many people find it difficult to find the positive side? The answer is quite simple, success will arise when we are able to fulfill the conditions to achieve success itself and one of them is being able to communicate both verbally and non-verbally (we must have Intellectual Communication).
Do you agree with the statement "Communication skills are the power"? Why or why not?
Now, it's time for us to realize that success is predominantly influenced and depends on our ability to understand and handle communication. Success is largely determined by how we are able to manage internal and external communications intelligently and communicatively.
Communication is a powerful force that will make us "special" and ultimately we will find it very easy to identify the point of our success. It is also important for us to know how we behave and speak, both verbally and nonverbally because it can influence how others perceive our communications positively or negatively and how they may approach us in future situations.
Can you provide an example of a situation where "Communication skills are the power"?
I am a mother with very young children. They don't understand many things and they are the best imitators in the universe. The kids won't listen to our speech A to Z blah blah blah... Before we ended it, they ran away.
It is very important to establish and build good communication with children. However, children are still children, they are not the ones to blame if sometimes they don't behave according to what we want, blame ourselves for not being clever and wise in communicating.
Now it has become a common thing about "parenting", one of which is not to say "No" to children. For example, Don't kid, it's dangerous. The truth is, "if you climb up there, you could fall and your leg will hurt and the bleeding will hurt, you know". Both have the same intent but the impact will be very different. Both will affect psychology, and also the child's view of his parents.
This is a reference for us on how to behave and communicate with children in a good way. If our communication fails, children will misunderstand. However, if we can communicate well with children, they will become stronger, smarter individuals so they will grow up to be successful children.
Some historical examples where "Communication skills are the power" led to significant change?
Now is the digital age with sophisticated technology and social media is a sophisticated communication tool. The burger shop across the street from Maesopsis, which has a delicious taste, is devoid of visitors and is even claimed to be on the verge of bankruptcy. However, one of the burger lovers accidentally ate the burger and he was surprised by its authentic taste. Then he inspired it on social media with an unusual delivery that looked cool.
Do you know what happened? Yes, the burger seller was flooded with buyers and even had to queue to get one (taken from a true story) and the shop didn't close. In Indonesia there was also a blogger who posted a deserted place to eat, and that's what happened. The visitors became very busy and the blogger was finally sponsored by the owner to be able to shop to his heart's content in this place which consists of 5 floors. So, I totally agree Communication skills are a strength.
How can one improve their communication skills?
There are many ways someone can improve their communication skills. Because of skills in berCommunication can be learned and understood little by little. Someone who is nervous can also improve their communication in the following ways;
- Learn to manage emotions and mood
When you force a conversation with someone in a bad emotional state, there is a possibility that you will create something bad. - Practice using appropriate body language
This method can be done by paying attention to the body language of the person we are talking to, making eye contact when speaking, focusing on the tone of voice (don't raise your voice) and adding body movements (hands, nodding your head). - Understand the situation and context of the conversation
Don't talk about things outside the context of the conversation because it will be confusing. - Don't hesitate to ask for feedback and suggestions regarding your communication skills
We cannot judge ourselves, therefore it would be good if we could ask someone to judge us. - Learn and do as best as possible all of the above.

Hola amiga, la comunicación es una herramienta que poseemos todos y como dices tu lo importante es hacer el buen uso de ella, de la amera correcta como el ejemplo que nos has colocado en relación a los niños.
Me parece muy interesante tu concepto de comunicación como una forma de alcanzar el éxito y lo de usar el lenguaje corporal como una técnica para una buena comunicación me parece un buen aporte.

Hi @liasteem, once I read the first sentences I somehow thought about the politicians, how sometimes they can gain so many people for their side after their speeches. Even in some situations it is difficult to understand how it is possible. Maybe one of the condition is also to listen and let others speak so called "active listener" is also a kind of communication. Hope many realise that and use it in their real situations :)
