Contest | “Correlation Between Parenting And Child Behaviour"

The marvelous brain of homosapiens has a categorical pattern of learning. The things which we even forgot always remain in our subconscious. In other words, memories never vaporize from our minds. Some of them are in long term sleeping mode while others dissolved in human behavioral patterns.

In the tenderness of childhood, all the imprints of tide carved deeply on the personality. I personally observe that little ones are very keen observers and they never forget about a point which they once learned. That's why children are the reflection of their parents because they spend most of their time with their parents.

How does parenting affect child behaviour? Is there any correlation between them?

In my society, parenting is exactly the capital in case of behavior. Children are totally dependent on their parents for at least 20 grand years of their life mostly. One can easily guess which child belongs to which family.

The young ones are great at overseeing every tiny detail and able to pick it very quickly. I was watching a documentary on the criminals of rape cases in which a survey was conducted about the life of these culprits during their early age. I forgot the exact figures, but nearly 80% of these people witnessed the abusive behavior of their father figure towards the females of their family in order to show the superiority of masculinity. (The Documentary was based on the figures in subcontinent).

Is parenting alone responsible for child behavior or are there any other factors too? What are they? Explain.

No doubt parenting is a major factor responsible for children's behavior, but some other factors are also involved. Like society's general norms. In Pakistan, males take pride in their masculinity more often. And when someone tries to escape the general criteria, the environment doesn't support it. Such efforts don't mean success because the Mannish community, along with patriarchal females, create firm obstacles.

Early schooling is another crucial factor which plays a major role in the behavior of a young one, because this is the next place where a child spends a lot of time after home. You can easily observe the behavior of a child who is a prey for bullies of school, he or she always remains cut off from the main society because of it. Similarly, a strict teacher made just stubborn packages of nonsense. They badly impact on the critical thinking of a child's mind.

Can we change a child’s behaviour after they are grown up?

It is really, really difficult to change a grown up. In many research it is proved that the main behavioral patterns molded out at the age of three years. The rest of efforts may work till the 7 years. And at the age of 14, all these things ripe up. Maybe in some cases parenting work after adolescence. Because of flexibility in attitude. But personally, I thought that when the crop is ripe, then we just harvest it. At this time there is no impact of watering, ploughing and fertilizing it. Because time is out.
