I'm very excited to be here with you all today, and I'm so glad that I have the opportunity to take part in the HWC Contest. This is my first time taking part in this contest as well as my first time posting in this community. I'm still a newbie to this platform, and I hope I am welcomed here.

Without wasting any time, let's dive into business...

Like I earlier said, I am new to Steemit. So I've not really had enough Steem or Steem Power yet. But when I saw the post talking about the contest here, I started reading through the rules and saw that, one of the criteria for you to qualify is, you need to power at least 10 Steem. So I immediately went to my wallet because I was really interested in the contest. Fortunately for me, when I reached my wallet I had about 10.4 Steem in it

As soon as I saw that, I was really happy because I knew at that moment that I can take part in this contest. So I immediately started with the POWERUP process.

Steps Used To Powerup

• I started by tapping on my Steem balance

• After tapping on my Steem balance, a window popped up with some options for me to choose from, so I chose Power Up

• When I tapped Power Up, I was then asked to input the amount I want to Power Up

• After inputting the amount, I was asked to confirm the transaction

• When I confirmed, I was then asked to provide my either my active key, owner key, or my master password in order to authorize the transaction. So I provided my owner key

• When I finished with the authorization, transaction went successfully, and it automatically redirected me to my wallet page and I scrolled down to see if my Steem Power has increased

The Steem Power had increased to 39.

Importance Of Performing Powerup

• Powering up your Steem as one of the main advice I will give anyone trying to grow on Steemit. Each time you power up, your account gains more exposure because, the more Steem Power you possess, the more value you bring to the community.

• Powering up also increases your chances of earning curator rewards. If you get to a level of Steem Power where, when you vote on someone's post you add 0.2 Steem value to that post, then you will definitely be earning curator rewards. When the payout of that post is paid, you will earn 50% of the value you added to that post which in my calculation is 0.1 Steem

• Steem Power also increases at an APR of approximately 2.68%. Meaning, you can earn more if you hold more.
