Introduction

In todays power up, I won’t say I’ve done so well in my power up journey in this month of December and to a large extent, I’m partly to be blamed or should I say I got a new job that takes much of my time leaving me with little chances to come on Steemit. That’s why my reward for the month was far lesser than expected. Anyway, half bread is better than nothing.

After claiming my reward, you can notice the change in figures in my steem, steem power and SBD.

The Powering-Up Process

To begin my power-up process, I had to divide my Steem into two parts. One part remained in the Steem and the other part goes to steem power. That explains the 77 Steem powered up. As a club member, you’re mandated to do this every month to grow your influence.

So after powering up my 77 steem, you can notice the difference in figures in my steem power and steem. But I felt a bit disappointed that I didn’t get to 3000 steem power before the end of last year

As for my Steem dollar, I’m still saving it till it get to 100. So, that the day I’ll finally power up, who knows, I may become a whale overnight… lol

Benefits of powering up

• when you power up, it increases your influence in the ecosystem
• When you also power up, it’s a little way of helping others in the system. Right now, if I upvote you, you would know longer get “0”, my level has changed to future whale… lol
