Painting my Dream
When I started reading books, it was my biggest dream to have a library in my home where all the classic books (hard-covered) would be placed.
I have a thing for old books, books written by people who lived centuries ago on this planet.
The attraction for old books is due to my fascination with everything vintage be it people, clothes, cultures, or tales.
Who can be an ideal storyteller of old tales other than books?
No one, a few elders in our houses are an exception.
Coming back to my dream of a home library. I used to pray for a library in my prayers regularly. And asking Allah to make me super rich so that I can create my word occupied with books.
It still is in my subconscious to have it.
I used to collect pictures of home libraries in my gallery, they are still there. Whenever we have troubled internet or electricity, I watch those pictures because there is nothing left to do with my phone.
After seeing library pictures, I recall my craze for it at a certain point in my life.
During covid precisely.
Now life is so preoccupied with many other things that you don't have space for your innocent dreams in your prayers.
There are days when you don't wanna do anything. No social media scrolling find any more tempting, no chit chat with friends can enhance your mood.
You just don't want to do with the outside world.
In those days you only want peace with yourself. You want an escape to a world where a person may be suffering or making it in their life.
For a while, it helps you see things differently, or you have a good laugh, or you just realize suffering is a part of the imaginative life as well.
I tried to read but it didn't work out. So I held paint brushes in my hands and painted one of my dreams on the canvas(a mini one because I wasn't sure if I was actually going to paint it or was just messing around).
I don't claim perfection and I show pictures that may be lousy for the masses. But I have no shame to show them so here we go.
In the first draft, I had drawn an awkward shoulder, an unclear book holder, and a hand that looked not of any human girl.
So I tried to undo those blunders, the mysterious book was gone, and look at that hand, I think it's the most accurate drawing I could do of a hand trying to grab a book.
Outlined everything black, I don't know if it was needed but a person beginning to paint like me can't risk with the brushes. They shake in my hand as if they are suffering from Parkinson's, God forbid.
Ok, I like her dress color and I want one in this color. I kept it in a darker tone because the light green color feels too much for the eyes.
Colored the shelf in Brown, and the picture I took inspiration from had also a brown shelf.
Her hair color was still under discussion.
The dark brown color was sorted for her hair which later turned into light brown.
Initially, I wanted a red dress with black hair. But then I thought of green color and hair color was suggested by my youngest sister.
I also didn't want black hair, once I dyed my hair black and it was the biggest mistake I could make at my cousin's wedding. I dyed light brown twice afterwards but that black dye was overbold.
I looked like Imran Khan with fresh hair dye😢
Books painted, look at the beauty.
The white shelf color looked good too by the way. But we had another plan.
Finally, everything was painted, idk the shelf color I painted, was kinda depressing but not more than the aura around certain people.
The last cabin I painted was dark, it was sorted to put inside forbidden books by the government.
It is the black hole for the banned books.
Hope you like it:)
Green dress and brown hair are very good combo ...look classy.... But I'm not able to solve the mystery about the origin of arm.... I'm still a fan of that black beauty. That was an unrivalled piece. When I first saw that painting, I was like "it must be from a very fine abstract artist...but her eyes make me believe that you paint it....plz wrap it now and gifte me that whenever we meet.. Freshly dyed Ik part is hilarious. Your sister is too good to give you valuable advice ....agr meri bhn hoti to koi Ulta hi mashvara Dana tha us ny😂.... I love your dream yr and painting is very cute......I have a similar dream yet different dream, i.e to pack my bag and visit all the marvelous libraries in the world... would you like to join me?😎😌
I made a blunder. I'm not professional and never will be. I lose interest in the middle of any work so i just erased the hidden arm grabbing a book rather than painting it accurately in the next try.
Hahahahaha yr good one, itni tareef koi dost hi kr skta h🤣
It's living in a cardboard with my books safe and sound.

This is so cute. We share the same dream.
I imagine having a huge library with glass walls in the middle of the woods. 😀
Oo wao😍
Library in the woods is dreamy and imagine reading there in a cozy corner, sitting beside a window when rain is pouring outside and you see it while holding a cup of coffee.
Heavenly and thank you for the appreciation ❤
