To My Followers on Steem

If you're not aware of the historical context, you can get caught up by reading:

I'm onboarding new Steem accounts to Hive. They could stop me if they wanted to, but I don't think they've noticed what I'm doing. I may as well explain it here, just to prove how secure they are in their solutions.

All I'm doing is running the latest Steem version of the Dr. Phil bot:

https://gist.github.com/inertia186/61bcc2b821aa5acb24f7fc88921950c7 (tagged last-steem-version)

With this, I ensure my upvote is always worth about 5¢ or more. Often, that is the only upvote for the post because I also confine the upvotes to new authors who have never posted before (i.e., I only vote for their first post).

I had to spend a week calibrating the voting power, so I didn't limit the number of authors. I wanted to see what kind of response I'd get if I didn't limit the voting power and just let it run unattended.

At some point, I'll skip a random number of first posts due to voting power limitations. But for the moment, I don't need to use a limit.

Once I cast my vote, my name appear on their post. Like I said, I am often the lone voter, so this gets the author's attention. They click through to my account and see my custom cover image and link, that recommends:

They often follow me too, which is a very common side-effect of Dr. Phil. By following me, it allows them to see posts like this one. If that's you, come on over to Hive!

Will Steemit, Inc. do something about this? I highly doubt it. But we'll see.

Before I install any patch, I always open the patch notes and Ctrl-F for 'supervolcano', 'seagull', and 'garbage disposal', just to be safe.

Hilarious and well done.
