in Steemit Iron Chef2 days ago

Hello steemians..

Today I came to SLC-S22W3 bakery course. Today I present the homework task of the lesson Stuffed sweet breads. I am learning how to make bakery items from scratch in this tutorial. So this experience is new to me and I would like to answer the relevant questions based on this lesson and the knowledge I have gained. I really hope this goes well and I thank teachers @yenny47 and @katherine012 for bringing us such valuable lessons.

🥐Do you think the resting time of bread is important? Explain.

Obviously yes.
The resting time of the bread dough is very important during the bread making stage and this is an aspect that should never be missed if we want our bread to be perfect.
Resting the dough allows the yeast to work in the dough to make it softer, making it easier to handle and smoother and better textured. The ideal time to rest the bread is between 1-2 hours. If the dough has doubled in size, it depends on the type of bread and yeast used. That means the dough has enough time to rest.

🥐Make a sweet bread, you can follow the recipe given in class or try another one, but it must be FILLED SWEET BREAD (NOT FRIED) it must be baked, you can fill it with jams or any sweet you like, you can decorate it with whatever you want on top (candied fruit, chocolates, grated coconut, sugar, etc.) Document the step by step, and put on a poster the date, user and the class label.

Today I am making a sweet bread with jam.

INGREDIENTS

1000015390.jpg

  • Wheat flour 250 g
  • milk powder tsp1
  • egg 2 (1 for the dough, 1 for varnishing)
  • sugar 40g
  • yeast 7g
  • Butter 1 tsp
  • Cold water 50ml
  • Salt 1/2 tsp

Dough Preparetion

  • The first step in making the dough is to ferment the yeast, the photo below shows how I can be sure that the yeast is good and that our dough is not damaged.

1000015294.jpg

  • I used a tablespoon of sugar per 50 ml of lukewarm water and mixed it well and added 1 tsp of dry yeast.

1000015392.jpg

  • Then add sugar, egg, milk yeast solution ,water to wheat flour and mix until evenly mixed.

1000015397.jpg

  • After that, knead it until it becomes soft.

1000015398.jpg

  • Then add butter and knead it again until it becomes soft. Then cover it with a clean cloth and let it rest for 1 hour.

1000015399.jpg

  • Then separate the dough into small pieces and roll them using a roller pin.

1000015396.jpg

  • Cut the rolled dough into strips on one side. Then spread jam on one side and roll it as shown in the photo.

1000015402.jpg

  • Then keep the baking tray and let it rest for another 30 min. Then egg wash and bake at 180° for about 25 minutes.

🥐 Tell us about your experience making sweet bread, did you have any complications, share your bread with a family member and document their impressions.

Making sweet bread is not difficult. I joined the tutorial from the beginning so now I am experienced. Also I love the whole process of making this bun and it is easy if it is done according to the procedure. So everything went well as I expected.. and I was very happy because the sweet bread was made so beautifully and tasty.

1000015404.jpg

I shared my homemade sweet bread with my little son. Son really likes to eat sweet buns. So I always used to buy them from the bakery for him, but now he likes homemade bread very much. Seeing children eating with passion like this really motivates me more to make home made food like this.

🥐Show a photo of a nearby bakery, mention and describe which is the best sweet bread there according to your taste (you can show a photo of the bread even if you don't buy it)

1000015406.jpg

I will show you my favorite sweet bread from my usual bakery which is Rathnayaka bakery in my city. I think this shop is very complete.

1000015405.jpg

They sell breads, cakes and various types of buns, among which I like the sweet bun with a drop of jam in the middle the most.

If you have a coffee with it, it's a great combination.

Hola, amiga.

Bendiciones
